This Sunday Night is the Big Bank Holiday Quiz at the Albert in Sunderland City Centre (Fawcett Street just opposite Wilkos/Post Office). Its a great bar in the heart of the city centre. Usual start time of 7.30pm, but with extra prizes in our new "Last Team Standing Game". The jackpot is also at £125ish, there are cash prizes for the quiz and plenty of free beer tokens to give away. We are expecting a busy night so make sure you reserve your table (just pop me a message) and I hope to see you there! I was in the Albert last night.. we were just too late to join the quiz, but I was impressed with the pub that I have never been in since the days when it was the Vestry night club.. Seemed like a canny quiz as well, and we would have done OK if we had been in it..

p.s - Ideally 7.30pm is best time to get there. I start giving out the picture round about 7.20-7.30 ish which then has to be handed in by 8pm ready for the first round of questions. As long as you get there for 7.45 I suppose youll have 15 minutes with the pictures I would always suggest popping me a message to book a table if you plan to come, however, as its sometimes very busy, and I expect it to be so this week
I didn't realise that it was my old work mate's son who is the manager of the pub. I was sat with the managers parents for a while talking about old times..
Ah yes. They usually join in and have won a few times in recent weeks. Love the pub......very friendly place
As it’s a bank holiday, I will try talk the mrs and a few people into forming a team. Don’t need to be up at thall crack of dawn so if I can put a team together, I’ll come down!
