Agree with first part , was speaking to a Villa fan at work in build up to our game who was feeling sorry for himself . When I listed everything going on at City , he said was shocked and said he had no idea about any of it , and then said oh we have it pretty good then don't we . Worst thing is I only listed about half of it .
You will almost certainly get an increase in attendances, but they've lost an entire generation of supporters during this period. It wouldn't automatically be a sell out. Although it would be hilarious to see everybody flooding back as soon as they've gone.
Thanks for that input, The hope my friend is that the stadium would be a sell out, whether it happens remains to be seen. I agree a great deal of support has been lost specifically from a certain age group, however I feel that the passion of them leaving under new ownership would be strong enough to see them return, I would almost certainly be one of them with my lads.
Flooding back to what level. We have never been a sell out consistently Have we? Not a chance would it sell out. 100% fact
I agree, it didn't sell out before they came, it only ever really got close to a sell out when we played Leeds or were in the PL.
Changing subject. The random message on Twitter by the fella that’s gonna get some funding ‘cos he’s sick of it’ is rubbish. Looking at their company accounts of the shipping firm there’s no way he has any clout in ‘drumming up buyers’. More social media nonsense.
I wasn't there so no first hand knowledge, though I met a mate in the gym today who was clearly very down. He said City were bullied by Blackburn. Their was a fundamental lack of passion from the players, no leader, no encouragement from the manager, and no plan B. We're £ucked.
I'm not your mate but it sounds like me. Apart from the been in a gym and been very down bit. Mebbe the gym is making him feel down. Stay away from Gym unless it's to watch the aerobics class or sit in the cafe
Don't you think at the moment the poor crowd makes us look like a poorly attended club? or a poorly subscribed to boycott? Only a wholesale boycott has an effect in my eyes, or one that looks like a boycott is occurring. Most fans of other clubs just think we are tin pot at the moment. the players are only a short term facet of the club and I'm sure their 10k a week wages will ensure no long term damage is done to the poor lambs. As I see it fans are suggesting the players need their support or major damage would be done. The club needs their valiant support or the earth stops turning. Cant you for once imagine the effect having only a hundred or two in a deserted ground would do? Cant you see how the emptier the stadium becomes the more people are sitting up and noticing? I think the situation is that bad that now it doesn't matter about results on the pitch or team morale. All that pales into insignificance and becomes for me collateral damage. We need the Allams out and as soon as possible.
I think you should probably stop telling other people what to do. Your choice is yours. Their choice isn’t yours.
Hahahahaha So my opinion counts for nothing? My belief that fans now attending are contributing to the prolonged death of our club by seeming to back (in their eyes) the Allam regime? So my opinion that fans who are too blinkered to realise that putting money into the Allams coffers is the wrong thing to do? And my opinion that the only way to shame the Allams to leave is a total boycott? I have seen no other tactic that would work. And I assume happy tiger you still like the Allams.
But dont you think people need telling? They dont have to act on my instructions. Just heard taffy on the radio saying he doesn't know what else to do. Why not try a full boycott? and you are just as guilty as me in telling me what to do...….
I haven’t suggest what you should do. I’ve suggested what you might stop doing on other people’s behalf. But you seem determined to press on. I tried.
I don't want to start name calling or going into hissy fits like some on here. I just really believe that a massive boycott is the only weapon left that would shame the Allams enough to consider their position. I know fans have a right to attend and suggesting a boycott is up against the "no one can tell me how I should and should not support my club attitude" And deep down I know the fans of Hull City are too apathetic to rally round together, but who knows as the mood worsens with poor results it might not be such a massive heartache for loyal fans to reconsider and at least give it a go. I know how message boards and human nature works and my postings are probably strengthening anti boycotters resolve to carry on supporting their club. In fact it tickles me seeing some of the responses.
I think you should probably stop telling other people what to do I apologise if my English isn't good enough to read that as you suggesting what I should do Just as a matter of interest AlRawdah do you think a full boycott would have a massive effect? or failing that are there any other weapons in a city fans arsenal to use to rid the club of the Allams?
I honestly don’t think they’d give a **** if the attendance was zilch. 10,000 turn up, every Saturday home game & march through his village culminating in a match long protest at his gates then he’d take notice. Would never happen though. I’ve done the protests, they made a point. It’s a waiting game now.
