Fukwit will slot into the left back area that Simon Grayson has been trying to fill for some time. Fukwit has lots of experience in the lower leagues and although he has only made two appearances for the Villa in ten years, he brings quality and experience. Look online or in the local papers, the club have tried to say that they were in for players yesterday, but were thwarted by the other clubs and injuries to the players they wanted! Utter nonsense, they had months to get this sorted and didn't, simply due to saving money.
I confidently predict that the sick feeling and embarrassment at having stayed glued to various media watching other clubs signing players (while knowing deep down that we wouldn't do anything) will all evaporate when I hear the immortal words 'We're going to be active in the loan market'.
