Thanks for the update, I have seen plenty of relegation battles over the last 40 yrs, Adkins won't walk, he has nowhere to walk to.. I think the penny had dropped with Adkins quite a while ago, but he hopes he can steer us to mid table mediocrity on very limited resources - which would be a hell of an achievement.
Dack is the kind of larker we should have been buying. He was scoring goals for fun for Gillingham a long time before Blackburn came in for him. Makes you wonder what some of these 'Directors of football' know about spotting talented players.
Nothing has gone on apart from maybe you are waking up and seeing what is actually happening at the club. You think Adkins would still be there if he was arguing with the Allams?
Wilson and Hernandez completely saved our bacon last season when they came in, only the heads in the sand types like Chazz like to pretend otherwise. Great post
Once the Allams have their money back they won't care which division we're in but until they've signed over to a new owner they can't let the club slide into League One as it will cost them millions off the asking price. So I don't understand why they're penny pinching now as it's a huge risk. Surely they've consulted with Adkins to find out how much money he needs to survive??
Maybe we have just arrived at a situation where any player with a choice of clubs, with a comparable offer salary are just rejecting Hull City out of hand. Many pro's will talk to each other and the reputation of the club and what surrounds it might be an explanation. I'm just shocked we managed to get Lichaj and Burke...
I didn't boo but I can understand why. We expect 100% effort and commitment, if we don't see that, and we didn't. Then they need to take a look at their attitude to getting paid very well to do a job they love.
You are making the understandable mistake of imagining that Ehab Allam has a single clue about what he is doing. He doesn’t. He’s thrashing around wildly. As evidenced by the club’s staff turnover in all aspects.
I think we're past the tipping point and are now hurtling downwards without anything stopping us until we get new owners, and I think Adkin's interview with Burnsy backs that up. There's a bloke who sits behind us who merns - a lot. Team selection, tactics, performance, everything - usually in good humour, but gets very upset during protests as "they disrupt the team" and "its not the owners fault, it's the crap manager/tactics/players" and besides, "no-one buys a team with protesting fans, so why are we bothering". Yesterday he was singing and chanting "We Want Allam Out" with the rest of us. I've never heard him chant *anything* before. It's finally got that bad that the reality of our situation has got through to folk like him.
All the other fans who were rightly staying away won't know either going on that logic, and the ones with young children who are suffering because of the concessions. Everything you write is bollocks, like we were going to win 4-0 because we won in the Cup despite being battered in the second half midweek. I would mute you but unfortunately you start the threads on here it seems so will just try to avoid your pisspoor analysis and bants
When the reality hits. It's sad but true. People don't like to hear it, they'd rather think we are going to be top 6 or winning 4-0
Just met my neighbour in the village. He's not one for slagging off, in fact I've never heard him utter an anti word. He went yesterday and was saying how annoyed he was which set me back a bit and then said two really interesting things.. 1. The parallels (to an extent) between Blackburn and Hull City, with with hated owners, both having recent Premiership status and the fans suffering. The Venke's daren't even set foot in Blackburn and yet the Allams or the son swan around rubbing everyones noses in it.... and 2..which really made me write this, about the sale or any sale of the club. He (my neighbour) said ( and far more eloquently than I can write this ) that 'they' said they were looking to sell the club, but it would be to someone who had the interests off the club at heart'. Therein lies the problem. Would they sell to someone with the best interests of the club at heart, because if someone came in and did A,B,C, invested, got the fans onside with some simple alterations, just how would that make 'them' look in the aftermath.. would they rather sell to someone with no real interest in the club or not sell at all..
