It's always hard when a promising player doesn't quite make it. It could also have to do with him not being DF's style of keeper, playing the ball out rather than kicking long. Krul does play that way.
Klose on the way out? http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/spor...s-klose-transfer-rumour-hannover-96-1-5658085
I would be worried if this goes through. Hanley, Zimmerman and Godfrey are not enough to get us through a Championship season. One injury and three at the back is no longer an option. We need four CBs more than we need the money.
Agreed, but are we not still able to loan one or get one from abroad (Germany?) up until Aug 31st. Worst case scenario, you understand, I'd far rather keep Timm.
Bild are the source, and they are trash-tier journalism in Germany. It's equivalent to the Daily Star reporting it. I think all the arguments have been made already. Financially, a ~£3m fee and one of our biggest wage earners off the books makes sense when he's in the last year of his contract, making this our last chance to cash in. But Klose is a well-liked player, both in the dressing room and with the fans, and offers a lot on the pitch. Can we risk losing that and replacing him with an unknown quantity? Imagine we sign another Franke!
Posters are lamenting our porous defence, but when it is possible one may leave, panic stations are the order of the day. Klose is part of our defensive problem.
Replacing him with someone less porous who is not part of a defensive problem while the season is underway and points are vital throws up it's own share of problems.
Totally agree Cromer, but my point was that he may not be as good as we would like/think him to be. I really wish w had gone for Leistner but after the QPR thrashing I am probably wrong.
So Klose may be close to leaving CR - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/canaries-klose-transfer-rumour-hannover-96-1-5658085
Cromer did mention that this morning, JMF. See the discussion above. It's been rumoured before, so hopefully it's tabloid tosh.
Other than the EDP repeating the Bild rumour, no other sources have picked up the story. Looks like DH is right that this is just German tabloid tosh.
So, Husband loaned to Fleetwood. https://www.fleetwoodtownfc.com/news/2018/august/james-husband-joins-on-loan-from-norwich-city/
Didn't see that coming. It's what his performances deserved, I just didn't think Farke would pull the plug on him. I guess that means Pinto is staying? Hopefully Husband can come back rejuvenated in January.
I didn't want JH as a starter, but now who will back up Lewis? Pinto belongs on the right side. Will it be Aarons who's right footed and normally a RB?
There's also Stiepermann. Pinto did a good job at LB, especially as he hadn't played before that because of injury and illness.
We are apparently in discussion to sign a striker,Julio Tavares, from Ligue 1 Dijon. He is their all time leading scorer. Bye bye Sir Benny? Villa had agreed a £2.9m fee for him but failed to complete the deal before the window shut. 29 years old, the new Grant Holt?
