Right, I think it's time for a game at a slightly more slower pace - and more understandable context - than CC's usual fayre. To that end I'm going back to the old style of Werewolf/Mafia, with a number of active roles and teams tweaked in a world I'm happy to entertain. Vote (and for most of you, go to Google.com, find out what they all are and then vote) for your favourite and I'll build it up from there. Looking to start on the 3rd September.
I give it less than 12 hours before the obvious post. Clock is ticking. I’m in. Might understand this one. I never really follow Captain’s games anyway that’s why others tend to win.
Unfortunately, I'm out. I go on holiday on the 4th and there won't be much internet availability where I am am bar the first two nights. In any case, I'll be too stoned and tripped out to bother about a ****ing mafia game
If we get enough I'm thinking of running it on a 24 hour day/night period to give everyone a good chance. So we aim to start at 9am, with "nightfall" happening at 9am the following day, and so on. I'd need a mods help in locking the thread for the night phase. I think this might work as it'll allow those who can't get on the time needed to read it through. Aiming to give everyone some kind of role, with at least two 'neutral' roles, a daily lynch (in effect from day two) and the obligatory nightly kills and investigations. Any issues with this format, let me know.
What you need to do is get to the level of highness where all your bothered about is the mafia game. Take some DMT, speak with tje mechanical elves, assess your priorities, and get back to us.
It helps if you don't know....wait, this isn't a Chaos game...playing it is the easiest way to pick it up. After all all you've got to lose is a family, friends and a life.
Basically there's good guys, bad guys and really bad guys. You get a role at random, then during a "day phase" the thread is open to general chat/accusations to work out who's good and who's bad. At the end of the day, a vote is cast to decide who we lynch. That person dies and is revealed. Then follows a night phase - the night phase has no open thread chat, but a series of actions that occur via PM to me or between your team. Then a variety of things happen, mostly people dying, then we go again. I've gone for a theme I'm familiar with to see if it works. If you want to play this type of game in a very condensed version, try Blank Media's "Town of Salem"; http://www.blankmediagames.com/ I'll post up rules & roles once the vote is finished.
I’d always hesitated to join the Captain’s games because a) they’re so complicated and b) I have a crippling fear of purple dildos. But count me in to this one.
