Just to add, I know he’s a broker, for ships, and could probably have a go at this.

That rant is kinda unprofessional tho.

Plus, good luck to him raising money within our city.

As I said, it’s the hope.

Nigel Adkins draws a question mark over his future as Hull City boss
The Tigers head coach gave a revealing interview to BBC Radio Humberside

    Hull City manager Nigel Adkins
Hull City's search for a first win of the Championship season goes on after a 1-0 loss at home to Blackburn Rovers this afternoon left the Tigers with just one point from their first three league games.

The Tigers were second best to last season's League One runners-up and were subsequently jeered from the field by a meagre crowd of just 12,233.

Nigel Adkins was visibly downbeat after a second consecutive home defeat and even went as far to question his own future in an interview with Radio Humberside.

Here's the transcript of what Adkins had to say to City commentator David Burns.

Hull City manager Nigel Adkins instructs his players
DB: David Marshall apart, did anyone do themselves justice today?

NA: I’ll sit down in the cold light of day and not say something emotional. We’re all in that emotional stage at this moment in time.

    Are you angry?

As I said, I’ve got to choose my words carefully. I think that’s the wisest thing to do when we’re live on radio. I want to win games of football. I want to be doing well for the football club and have a togetherness.

Today was damaging in respect that we didn’t win a game of football. We’re trying to keep everyone together and I’ve highlighted things. We know that. I’m working as best I can with the group of players that we’ve got and if that isn’t going to be good enough, then someone else will have to come and do it.

Do you feel that’s the type of performance that gets you the sack? Or are you thinking you’re in a situation where you haven’t really got a chance?

As I said, if I’m emotional after the game then maybe I should keep my mouth shut.

The salvation to this is that you’ve got four loans to come. They have to come in and they have to be quality but that doesn’t look easy.

It’s challenging. We’ve wanted to bring players in to enhance the group we’ve got but we’ve not been able to get them. There are other players we want to bring in but there’s a domino effect.

Do you have to go to the owners and ask for more money?

To be fair to the owners, we’re trying to bring players in. There’s bids on the table and we’re matching club’s wages. We’ve got to see if we can get them out. It’s frustrating but again it’s straight after the game and I want the football club to be thriving.

I want the players to show passion and flair, and do well for Hull City Football Club. It’s going to be tough but I’m determined to work as hard as I can to do the best I can.

I get the feeling there’s a big question mark in your mind, as there is with all of us.

We’ve got to pick the lads up. We’ve got another tough game on Tuesday against Rotherham and that will be very competitive. We’ve got to compete.

On the loan players, you recognise you need them but good ones will have a choice. If they look at performances like this they’ll go elsewhere won’t they? How much of a concern is that?

It’s what I highlighted at the end of last season, we wanted to get our business done as early as we could. We are where we are at this moment of time and we’re doing everything we can.

What needs to change to give you that chance?

To be fair we’ve got bids on the table and we’ve got a budget.

Is that good enough for this level?

The football club will do what it’s got to go and do for its point of view to be sustainable.

Do you feel you’ve got a chance?

I’ll do everything I can whilst I’m here to support the group of players.

    That’s twice you’ve said you’ve doubted whether you’ll be here…

I’m trying to give the supporters a team to be proud of and being able to get behind.

Are you worried about your future?

The only decisions in my future are what I make.

    Might you make that decision?

As I’ve said it’s probably the wrong time to talk about things when you’re emotion after a game.

They're the words of a man right at the end of his tether ..... it's there for all to see, it looks worse in the written word than when he spoke on the radio. It was painful listening, it's terrible reading.

If the players were booed at the end I believe Nige’s words may well be aimed at them.

    Don’t boo, it’s not big & it’s not clever.

    “Support”, the clue’s in meaning.

“City ‘til I Die” Are you or aren’t you?

That doesn't sound good. When even the most loyal of managers are questioning them, then you're in trouble. It make take going down to reset and get some momentum. I didn't think that would be an issue, and we are three games in, but the players just looked beaten. I don't mind us getting beat with our boots on, but we didn't look anything like Championship quality and there'd be a few League 1 clubs giving us a run for our money.

I have to say reading some of the feedback from people who went today about his formations and not changing it when he needed to, maybe some of his comments have deflected criticism of his management. Maybe the players recognise that with what we have we cannot play to his chosen formations, but he insists on playing them, which is why we got the abject performance we did. We all know we haven't got a good set of players, but when a manager gets players playing to their strengths (Cardiff - Millwall et al) lots of things can happen. He patently isn't doing!!!!

Yeah I thought exactly the same thing from the North stand. Looked like Kingsley won the header and the lad just came and nutted him after the ball had gone. Looked like a massive hit to me and my first thought was it could be another Mason.

I think when it's a header it's always seen as a "clash" with no blame attached but if you do the same thing with a tackle it's deemed dangerous and a yellow card at a minimum. On the head it's much more dangerous so should be a more severe offence. Yet whenever someone gently waves a leg at a high ball it's always without fail a free kick even though 90% of the time there's no contact with the other player.

Poor performance - lacked any energy and intensity - only Marshall came out with any kind of credit - the rest need to take a long hard look at themselves- as for the booing - what's worse - booing the team or the 15k empty seats - both as bad really - neither will motivate the team

Sadly, the meltdown a lot of us predicted is underway. It might be stating the bleeding obvious, but it seems as if we've got a long way to fall before things get better.
If NA walked, who in their right mind would blame the fella?

Just haven't got the quality, everyone knows that we look like a team that won't score more than one goal in a game. Talk about frustration god knows how the manager must feel. I'm sure he will have had a lot more targets than the three mentioned . He needs help the players do and he just isn't getting it. Talk about having to compete with your hands tied behind your back.

Something I meant to add earlier but some people near me left at half time. In fact, people seemed to be walking out earlier than normal. Think everybody just knew/felt we wouldn’t score.

It sounds an abject performance all round apart from Marshall. The only positive is that I decided not to renew my membership and come out here for another tour of duty.

I just listened back to Nigel's interview with Burnsey and you have to feel for the guy, even he didn't realise what twats our owners are, but he sure knows now.

I got the feeling Nigel has either already told Ehab to back him or he is off, or he is planning to do that. Alternatively, he is trying to put the wind-up Ehab by suggesting he might go, to shame him into doing something. However, we all know that will go over Ehab's head, so that won't work.

The ship is sinking, and last season Harry Wilson delayed that happening by plugging the hole, but that is no longer there, so the inevitable is bound to happen this season.
