Ref is ****in' clueless! He's completely ruining the game, as are Villa with their overreactions to tackles
If we do hold on, it will be a great effort...in spite of very biased ref. That's where we need the match vid. instant replay to review.
I am delighted at this performance so far - we coudn't have asked for more, if we get the well deserved point. Another bedding in match, and several players emerging with great credit.
I will never be delighted with any draw but we need every point we can get against these top sides. The Derby game is going to be very interesting, they are massively underperforming.
I believe a draw is a good result considering the events. Crowd are happy, Hurst much happier, gives us much needed confidence in a run of difficult games. Derby not unbeatable at mo!
Still no goals from forwards. Still Jackson and Harrison not on the pitch together. We have 2 points but we could feasibly have had 9 by the sound of it today.
I still maintain that I think we have our Club back. I will make every effort to make the journey. Have I felt like this for 3 years? Nope.
Not a bad result considering the way the game went. Dodgy defending again, Knudsen was poor but we managed to gain a point. Ref ruined the match with his poor officiating
A result that starts to show there is sun behind the clouds. Sounds like it was achieved without shutting up shop as well. Still lots of things to come together but considering we were all fearing a result ala qpr.
A good result considering we played with ten men for most the match. Refereeing was a bit poor, very whistle happy. Edun sending off unfair, but we battled to get the point. Chambers and Skuse were a bit shaky and not convinced by Harrison up front. I thought Edwards and Nolan looked very lively. I know we were up against a heavily fancied Villa side, but we did resort to long ball frequently. Just happy we didn’t lose as we certainly didn’t deserve to come away pointless. Interesting mid-week match against an inconsistent Derby side coming up. Hopefully we can get our first win of the season at Pride Park, where we’ve picked up a lot of wins in recent years
Also worth noting that this Villa side won their first three games of the season. I think we tactically got the better of them when we went a man down, we clearly frustrated them and didn’t let them exploit much of the additional space.
Evening nuggets. Sounds consistent with previous performances - just scoring goals in this system that's bothering me.
