You don't have to understand the "political and social machinations"(What a pile of poop that is) to know that illegally settling in land whilst displacing the people on that land is bad. You don't have to be an expert on middle eastern affairs to know a nation state who practices apartheid against their own citizens is not good. You don't have to a military genius to know that kids throwing stones or flying kites are no threat to tanks or snipers lying half a mile away and shooting with HV rounds whilst celebrating with their pals after every hit.

No there is no road to go down. I know as much about Israel as anyone on here but I don't see it in black and white with the Jews as the baddies, there's a lot of propaganda out there so I like to take a neutral stance based upon the information I have, which again is as much as anyone here, ie only what the media tells me or any reading that I've done on the subject.

You mentioned earlier about "shooting with HV rounds whilst celebrating with their pals after every hit", that's the sort of stuff I'm talking about. I saw that video on twitter too but maybe I've missed the bit where we see anyone actually get hit. I don't know if anyone was actually hit, all I saw was a lot of retweets and condemnation of an IDF man firing his rifle. Similarly the other day there was a tweet of a young Palestinian boy who had allegedly been shot in the head by a sniper, he was screaming in pain apparently and had a wound in his forehead, and again - despite any context or hard evidence whatsoever - there was outright condemnation by people who seem to be ignorant of the effects of sniper rifles on the human body.

Doesn't make me an Israeli apologist, I just like to see hard evidence.

So all those humanitarian organisation and the UN condemning Israel for using live rounds against civilians. All the casualties dead and injured through being shot by sniper fire. All the videos and condemnation of Israel flattening Palastinian buildings and displacing their inhabitants whilst building illegal settlements on Palastinian land that defies the Geneva convention. All the proof of Israelie Arabs being treated as second hand citizens in an apartheid regime. Every UN resolution that Israel has ignored given to them for all of the above. All that is to be ignored because we have never set foot In Tel Aviv?
