Guessing Jan has a knock. Would personally prefer Ings and Gabbi up top, but, well it’s the 4-4-2.

 

Where Vestergaard?

 

So this week's missing players are:

Forster, Vestegaard, Bednarek, Davis, Elyounoussi

 

Jannik is there, but doesn't make the bench...must have some minor injury.

 

Yoshida for Stephens would have been my choice as Vestergaard misses out due to illness.

 

Seeing that team, any hope of us getting a result here has now all but gone, think they’ll just be to strong for us.

 

Slightly disagree as I would keep Stephens but bring Yoshie in for Hoedt as he scares me to death both with and without the ball

 

Everton's line up looks strong, but the bench not as good

 

Hoping thats a 4 - 4 - 2 .
Excited to see our attack, scared to see our defence. high scoring match i think.

Ballsy selection. Would have started with this against Burnley at Home, and used the 3 at the back against Everton away. So interesting from Hughes. Either way, I’m happy we look to be having a go - I’m expecting a loss but at least we can go down swinging

 

I can see this being our westham away match from last season....

 

Much rather lose a high scoring game swinging for a win, than whimpering to a dull 1-0 defeat.

 

Only other thing that’s a bit disappointing is (due to Mo’s hamstring) we have a Redmond on the wrong side. I do like the idea here, but I worry without Jan and Mo etc it might come unstuck. Even if so, hope he sticks with it.

 

Yep, now we are half an hour away I am worried about this.

Like the attack, like the midfield (though not my first choice), but a bit worried about the back 4. Actually a bit worried about the middle two. Hoedt scares the crap out of me and Jack always seems to miss important headers. Cedric also seems to miss the guy on his post.

Maybe we'll win 8-9 or something

 

Indeed, we were crying out for two Strikers for most of last season so i'm not going to moan about it now even if we get beat today.

 

Not sure about Stephens in a back 4. He's never looked good enough in the air for me. Can possibly get away with that if we have 3 CBs but I really don't know about him as one of a pair. Hoedt's not the most physical either.

Oh well. I'll be interested to see how this line-up works.

Good job we have a couple of fit strikers taking up the slack to cover that injury prone bunch of slackers missing today!
