You really cant see the significance of this can you, your team gave up Arsenal didn't. If you are out of the title race this season by December (quite possible for all of us if City hit the heights again), will you just say meh, doesn't matter now if we finish 12th we did everything we could for a while?

From being "out of the race" Arsenal managed to come second to Leicester, Spurs who "Had a chance" at one point finished 3rd behind both Leicester and Arsenal (who never had a chance). I don't really like the term bottlers because some teams are just better than others, I prefer the term defeatists for those who just give up.
They gave up because they couldn't win the title after the Chelsea. They also happened to come across a very good team from the South Coast the following weekend who promptly were the last team to win at WHL

I didn't say that. I said I'd rather be in a position to win than settle for second or third with many matches to go. Leicester were better than us over the season and deservedly won it.
Arsenal hadn't been pushing Leicester for many weeks. They gave up their chance of winning much earlier. Our efforts took their toll and our young team didn't deal well with the disappointment.
