Although Leeds will be firm favourites having brushed aside two of the most fancied teams in the division, we need to recognise that this is a local derby, and strange things do happen. After being demolished by Brentford on the opening game of the season, the Millers have steadied the ship recording an impressive victory over Ipswich and a 3-1 win over Wigan in the Carabao Cup. Bielsa will need to decide whether to stick with the same XI that have lifted the team to second place in the division or mix things up. In particular will we see Peacock Farrell or Blackman between the sticks? Which two players should be partnered together in central defence? Should we rest Hernandez and Saiz? Can Roofe and Bamford play together?
Bielsa will very soon be able to pick an 11 to suit the problems that each team brings. So the idea of our first 2 teams for Stoke and Derby are our first team is wrong I believe. The newbies who were given a run the other night showed signs of them getting it and will soon be up to speed. At that point I think we’ll see players like Bamford and Roofe in tandem, we should also get to see the fabled 3-3-1-3 formation but this weekend I think changes will be few from last weekend. I would go for Blackman over BPF and would keep Pontus on the bench and cant wait to see Douglas again
Might find Saiz out for this one,he went off clutching his hamstring on Tuesday,do none of you lot pay attention ?
Hoping complacency doesn’t set in, Leeds of previous seasons would beat a top team and lose to a Millwall or Rotherham. A few fresh legs returning and a strong bench, we can’t be dropping points at home to teams like this if we want to be challenging.
Got to agree fresh legs are a must and maybe sub saiz or bring him on as sub.Bielsa says he needs two for each position time he tried it out.
What formation have we been playing, I don't say that to be flippant, the movement has been so fluid and the play that pleasing on the eye, it's been difficult to actually see how we've set up.
Fresh legs, ffs , these are young athlete's who've played 2, a couple 3, games of football in 13 days. Keep the same team, they deserve it . They probably know if they get complacent they get dropped.
