bit of an OG there. The wording in the article itself is fine, they paid to get him and are happy with him yada yafda.. just like vvd and us. The "market value" comment enabled the author to make a headline out of it.
yeah... theres no traction at all on any lfc players going anywhere and the hazard story has died a death as well as really he's not covered himself in glory with his sulking at various times. The only one festering away is for some reason barca seem to want a giant ego to upset their team balance.
Totally totally agree with you KKK But would have thought given user name you may have treaded carefully in this
Dead rubbers I assume. I hope the Premier League never go down that route. League cup semi's or finals or FA cup I don't give a sh!t, but the league should be left alone
It would demonstrate that it's all about money (as if we didn't already know that), and show complete contempt for the fans.
My view on this is that if the numbers show that clubs don't need fans then this slippery slope is indeed a real danger. If "the match going fans" are not vital to the clubs revenue then figuring out a big payday pay per view event in some location on the globe where you can sell something to everyone and make another billion form the event these guys will do it. If LFc could make 50mil as part of a 20 team prem setting up a big PPV for ONE GAME. (and 50 mil is just a figure plucked out of the air) wel... the clubs will do it to the fans.
Its never going to happen in England. The backlash from fans would out do the potential benefit they may get. If lrc played a home game in USA then locks fans would protest and boycott. You see what happens when fsg wanted to increase prices slightly, let alone taking football away completely. They’d be driven out the club
I think thing is that it would be presented as a "premier league" driven event and we just have to do it. The whole 39th game stuff that scudamore dreamed up was cos they were worried about precisely what you are saying. I would be totally against it for the record but i can see it happening if the numbers say theres more money in it. We are one step away right now from a club in the Us playing in the english league..... MK dons for example. nobody really batted an eyelid as wimbledon FC was stolen from its fans. that moved cities. Franchises moving cities is common in the USA... so... in the end if theres more money for say i dunno a chelsea to move to a different country rather than build a stadium in london... and say a country might even pay them huge amount to move... well... all that stops it right now is a couple rules in uefa.
Just went on to YouTube and watched it. While I don't advocate injuring a player [and he didn't seem injured] I always wanted Costa, he's as dirty as they come, great if he's on your side, not so much if he isn't,
