Good Morning Everyone According to Phil Hay, Biels has targeted up to three positions to be filled by the end of the month when the loan window slams shut. They are (in order of importance):- A winger Central Midfielder Central Defender Personally, I would have placed a central defender at the top of our wish list, but Bielsa knows best. Talking about central defenders, Leeds have been re-linked with Spurs youngster Juan Foyth. Speculation is rife from various sources of the media that 8m rated Foyth could be on his way to Elland Road on a season long loan. According to the YEP, Leeds are chasing Liverpool's Marko Grujic. The Serbian has already turned down Boro, a return to Cardiff and Torino. Could Leeds be the opportunity he is waiting for?
Morning all. As I havent a clue about any of the above mentioned, let alone how Bielsa would likely improve them, I cant comment. Saturday cant come quick enough though. Incidentally, how are we a game behind Boro after only a couple of weeks into the season?
I believe Juan Foyth is an Argentine CB with a big future and Pochetino brought him to Spurs, but he cant get into the first team this season so might just give him to Leeds so that Bielsa can carry on with his development. This has been on the cards since before the window opened so hope it comes off. But I guess we will see loads of speculation about who's coming until the end of the month. Foyth is the only CB we are looking at apparently because Popey yesterday tweeted that Bielsa says a new CB isnt a priority so seems happy with what he has and who are we to argue
Good morning Matt & everyone Who can argue with the great man? Bielsa knows the game more than anyone, he thinks totally out of the box, we are so lucky to have Marcelo managing/coaching our beloved club Good to know he hopes to bring in three more players before the end of August Apologies for my tardiness for not thanking you for the Bolton link, much appreciated Matt
Good Morning to Matt and co from a dull Bardsey We can't surely sign 3 loanees as that would give us 6 and we are only allowed 5 on match day Foyth I have mooted him all close season I understand he is injured at the moment A winger whose fast would be good along side Saiz but another CM why do we need him Le Bok seems will be going back to Belgian and perhaps we will see Anita on his bike too Ekuban when they find him maybe shipped out on loan too Finally Danny Rose his wanted abroad could this be a big windfall for the club I wonder
No harm signing six as we wouldnt want them all on the pitch at the same time given what we already have Id say
Apparently according to my friend from Argentina who I worked with in Middle East, says Bielsa is known as the “Godfather “. Well that all fits then we have had the “Don” now it’s the “Godfather “ turn, he has encouraged me to bet we are are in the Prem next year, but there again he is a greasy Argentinian wop so not to be trusted lol.
Kevin most clubs stipulate that the loanee must be picked in the squad how can we possibly agree to this if we have 6
Morning all... In regards to loan players teams want to see their players in the starting 11 it might be harder than we think bringing in a few first choice ones.
I looked at the image Ell posted and without taking much notice assumed we were home to West Brom didn’t realise it was just the draw numbers till you just asked when it was. Home to Newcastle would be nice
Morning Eire, yes I'm looking forward to Saturday, but I'm also wandering how the players are going to keep up their intensity game after game- thats been a major part of the difference between the teams
Morning Doc, indeed he is. Foyth is is very highly regarded player by Pochetino. The youngster got injured in a pre season game, but is on the mend.
Morning Leon, early days, but the Bielsa effect is having a huge effect. I'm already thinking about ditching my furniture, and replacing it with a couple of buckets!
Morning Mike, we're only allowed 5 in match day squads. The loanees will be youngsters, 90% of which would only expect to play 20 games over the season.
