    ...nah, can't do it.

    Instead, here's a depressing comparison of the team now and when we went down:

    Talented right-wing player sold and not subsequently replaced (Milner vs Barton)
    Lack of a consistent goalscorer (Martins and Owen spent their time injured vs our first choice being Shola)
    Lack of defensive cover (Edgar and Geremi vs no options at CB)
    A Taylor at LB (Saylor vs Raylor)
    Overconfidence leading to no-one being signed despite an obvious need for cover (fairly obvious here I reckon)

    ...I could go on.
    We've had a good window but not in the right areas. Evidently we need A) a better negotiator and B) to stop announcing we have lots of money to spend ¬_¬

    We had Enrique and Bassong back then, they both got injured as I recall...

    This post strikes me as overly pessimistic now but I was extremely optimistic yesterday and just felt utterly pissed off really...
