And MacLeod rapped: "I've been wondering since the day Davie Hay was sacked if Jock thought he was contradicting the old saying that no man is bigger than Celtic. There isn't a player at Celtic who'll tell you they've heard Wim Jansen raise his voice.

"But I have - and in 23 years as a pro I have NEVER witnessed the kind of screaming matches between a coach and a member of a club's management that Wim and Jock had. "They shouted and swore at each other because Jock DID interfere, despite what he'll tell you - and Wim always won.

"Jock started by coming into the manager's room after games. "But after just TWO matches Wim booted him out and never allowed him back in because he was offering his opinion too often.

 

Lawell had to step in? That's not his job Eddie, he's the negotiator, not the scout nor the manager. That's why we have scouts and a manager.
