If you could cash in a year of your life for £250k, how many years would you sell?

None of us know when we are going to die so you could say 2 years and then get the money and drop dead on the same day.

Reminds me of another question I was asked. If you were offered £10 million to play Russian roulette with 5 other people, would you do it? The draw for when you had to shoot is random so it could be that you are drawn last and someone else blows their brains out and you still get £10m without having to do anything. Or it could be that you are drawn last, nobody before you has shot themselves and you can HIAG it and welch the **** out of the agreement.

I'd do the Russian roulette one I think, not the 250k one though. Have to give up 10 years to make it even slightly worth it and that is too much time.

Russian roulette one, worst case is you die an instant death and never realise. Best case is you have £10m. If you don't do it, worst case is you are 55 years old, sat in your boxers eating super noodles thinking "why the **** didn't I do that Russian roulette thing ffs"

The only person that could offer you such a deal would be Satan and you would probably end up buying a Ferrari and crashing .

It would make a good Twighlight Zone episode.

I don't think £10m would be sufficient for the trauma of picking bits of brains and skull out of your hair , and that would be the win option.

You don't think a million quid for the last four years of your life is worth it? Why would you need ten million?

Based on recent experience the final few years of ones life is rarely an enjoyable thing. Most wish it was over.

Because, as already been mentioned, you don't know when your time is up. I could say I'll take the million for 4 years and be dead in a week. If the option was "you will live til 90 and the last 5 years will be ****" then I would give those years up.

Ok just say you are mid 30s , you should get at least 40 years until you die by today's life expectancy In the UK , unless you are Scottish.

You would rather take a 6 to one shot with a bullet ?

It's true we don't know how long we've got but it's fantasy anyway.

Assuming I live a normal lifespan for my lifestyle/fitness etc. then I'd happily take one million now and **** the final dementia ridden years off at a stroke.

If I were told the year I’d initially die beforehand then that’d have a factor in my decision.

If 60 plus then I’d take two years for £500k. If 70 plus then 4 years for a milly. If 80 plus then 8 years for two milly.

for 40 times the money? Yeah. Life expectancy isn't a guarantee. To do something so mental I'd want to be given enough money that I would never have to worry about money again. A million at my age doesn't do this.

If I knew what age I'd live to then I'd take enough to retire and live comfortably so just a couple of years would do it.

So what could I spend a million pounds on that would make me enough money that I wouldn't have to worry about money for the rest of my life?
