So just 105 days after our last visit to Goodison we're back there on Saturday to face a Marco Silva side who will be full of confidence. Completely different test to Burnley and Richarlison is fit to play who we'll have to keep an eye on. Hoping we get to see this again: please log in to view this image I imagine there will be a lot of debate about line up and formation with many seemingly keen on a 4-4-2 after the change it had on Sunday. Personally though, I wouldn't be confident with just the two midfielders in this game as feel we will be massively overrun in the middle. Not fully against 4 at the back but would prefer to see a 4-2-3-1 if we go that way for the above reasons. Ings will surely start? Anyway, we're due a ****ing win here eh? Up the ****ing Saints
Officials with thanks to @SAINTDON13: Referee: Lee Mason Assistants: Darren Cann, Derek Eaton Fourth official: Andre Marriner
Mods can we have a sticky please And @Tobes feel free to join in if you wish... any chance of an idea of lineup/formation etc?
Part of me thinks that we're due one there... the other part of me thinks we're cursed and we'll never win there again
Tough call to name our line up mate, as 5 of our new signings weren’t considered for selection last weekend. Jags will obviously be missing and will likely be replaced by either Mina or Zouma. Richarlison came off on Saturday with a tight calf, so not sure if he’s going to be fit. Gomes definitely won’t be, Bernard unlikely as he’s had no pre season. My prediction is, a 4-2-3-1 Pickford Coleman, Mina, Keane, Baines Schneiderlin, Gueye Walcott, Sigurdsson, Richarlison Tosun
I'm potentially going to this to sit in the home end and try and hide my lovely southern accent surrounded by spitting scouse tossers. We will lose 3-0. Lineup: McCarthy Yoshida Vestergaard Hoedt Cedric Bertrand Romeu Lemina Redmond Armstrong Elyounoussi Austin
We should have won the last game, but that was then, this is now. We were fighting for our lives then*, whereas now we are bedding in several new players and this must affect formation or at least how successful the formation is. I see no reason that we couldn't win (lose or draw), but have gone for a 2-1 win. *All games should be played as if we are fighting for our lives because they are all equally important at the end of the day, but I don't expect the team will be aware of it....especially the new players who are still trying to impress and not look like proper Charlies.
No need to request a sticky....although normally they're not stickied until a Wednesday for a Saturday game. Seeing as its you..........
Interesting to see Morgan there, thought he'd burnt his bridges with the fans? Can see him doing very well under Silva tbh.
Mate has 4 season tickets at Everton and 1 of the guys he goes with can't go so have been offered it. Not 100% I'm going to go yet
I would go 4-3-3 and have a go at Everton McCarthy Cedric-Vestergaard-Yoshie-Bertrand JWP-PEH-Lemina Redmand-Ings-Elyounoussi
Not sure, I haven't been to Goodison before so don't know the names of the stands. I think it is the equivalent of the Northam so I'm sure I will be fine and won't stick out at all with my incredibly thick southern accent and using "bruv" and "****" as joining words.
