First you want me to die, now you call me miserable. If I didn t know any better I'd think you were secretly in love with me.
The level of distraction from being in a discussion with someone on the phone or texting is significant enough to delay your reaction time and stopping distance to similar as if you were over the limit. Being completely bladdered is a new level though. No excuses imo,
You know what really pisses me off, stupid bints (and more frequently lately, weird men/boys) walking down the road with their ear phones in pointing their phone like it's some kind of water diviner and shouting at the end of it then walking across a road at a junction without once looking back to see if anything is turning. Last week I had a woman in her mid 50s do it at the entry to our industrial estate, to make it worse she was with her grandson of about 7 who looked behind him and stopped (I was level with them and into the turn), she just pushed him into the road by the back of his head without missing a stride or looking round. When they were clear I turned behind them and revved the engine, she looked around at me and gave me the evil eye as if I was in the wrong, her grandson put his hand up in apology.
How come Salah can get done for texting off video evidence but Carragher taking his eyes of the road in front while driving on a motorway spits at someone to the side of his vehicle and avoid prosecution? Don't get me wrong Salah was in the doing something illegal but there's all kinds of criminal activity caught on video and the police don't charge everyone.
Absolute bollocks, it all depends on what you think is the most important thing you are doing at the time. If you are driving then the conversation comes second unless of course you are some twat talking about what a great night you had last night.
Maybe because texting involves taking your hands off the wheel and eyes off the road for quite a while, whilst spitting only requires you to turn your head for a second
So, if you look sideways while your car is moving at speed is okay? Ever heard of or witnessed a car veering into the wrong lane, oncoming traffic, a tree, a wall or worst of all a pedestrian? It doesn't matter if his hands are on the steering wheel if he's not paying attention and not looking where the vehicle is going.
I'd say it's impossible to look in your interior or wing mirror when your head is, facing the wrong way, your head is out of the window, there's no way you're in control of you're not concentrating fully on the road. @bobby, him losing a few months work has nothing to do with the legal implications of his actions, so.
Not really, they are all brain dead drones. Please tell me that you don't walk around talking into the arse of your phone whilst pointing it like a diviner of some kind, you seem far more intelligent than that.
wonder what game they are playing? my favorite are baseball caps on in car... utterly.pointless. white ear phones on in car... again there's this box thing beside you to Bluetooth/aux to for better sound and you.might actually hear the sirens sometime. hoodies up in car as well. ok you are a lot of very tired looking builders in van passenger seats asleep but normally I see gobshites with hoodies up in cars... utterly.pointless.
given he was stationary I'm sure this will take 2 days to "invrstigate" so story goes away then nothing will happen. at the very worst it's a miniscule fine and a couple.points on a non eu driver license that they can't even apply really. the word will be out to only.test and drive in future
Was it not Jim Morrison who said "Keep your eyes on the road Your hands upon the wheel" He was certainly a visionary.
What carra did was obviously dangerous but in all seriousness when you change lanes don't you turn your whole head round to check your blind spots?
