We conceded a stoppage time goal to them in both games last year... I can't see anyone getting to near them tbh. The only hope is that they focus on CL and get a ridiculous amount of injuries.
I fully agree, I don't really want to be told what to think when I watch football. On a live match I usually mute all the build-up bollocks, HT chatter, and post-match waffle, and just watch the replay bits for a closer look at what happened.
Ouch. Tbh, I think he comes across as reasonably intelligent - as footballers go. The problem I have is that I don't think ex-footballers are necessarily expert on analysis, and I don't care what they think.
Thing is, they don't even agree amongst themselves. In the one bit he did about Noble being left on his own in space, Keown wanted the back four to step up, and Jenas wanted the midfield to drop back. He then wound it on a bit, and the mid did exactly what he'd complained they weren't doing - which he ignored. Reminded me of this: "But those behind cried ‘Forward!’ And those before cried ‘Back!’ And backward now and forward Wavers the deep array;"
Was with you until that bit. I get what you’re saying but to be fair ones a defender and ones a midfielder and they played in diff teams and diff systems so not agreeing on whether defence should push up or midfield drop back is understandable. If anything it’s quite interesting seeing diff thoughts and shows how tactics aren’t a straightforward thing and what’s right to one person isn’t necessarily right to another
Macaulay: "Horatius". Put down your Cosmo and get some literature in yer. I can see how it might be interesting to hear differing points of view, but really I just want to watch the games. I have enough opinions of my own, I don't need anyone else's.
