Morning Matt and all. TC and Heck like players have their ceiling, we needed much better. Nothing against either, hope both have sucess in the future but assume it will be in the lower reaches or in TC,'s case lower standard country. Hate loans that are to improve other clubs players. Most of us are pinching ourselves after the start we've had but not all, some can never be satisified, they have to pick holes and much worse get nasty about it, players do read social media and sometimes it can kill their confidence, pathetic idiots is my opinion of them
Morning all waking up to another wonderfull day being a Leeds fan,I like it a lot, long may it continue.
Morning all from bolton services.i was waiting for a top class keeper to be signed pre season too.if blackman is only on par with the peacock then its a poor loan.klich has done well as hes an attacking mid in a team playing attacking football.if we can keep it up until forshaw gets back at least we have an option to change the set up during a game. Interesting comments about abuse on social media mind you were a few unsavoury comments on here at the weekend. The thing is guys if you dont like another posters comment then fine.but come across as all superior just because you can attend all games.if i could would have bought a season ticket but its useless to me.dont want to see this forum developing in to them and us scenario.
All opinions are welcome, it's easy to take things the wrong way when you're not face to face (I've done that more than enough times), I could say to one of my mates with a smile "no way your effing joking aren't you" and it would be totally different replying to someone on a forum with the same words.
Where have you been hiding, agree with Bucks good to see you posting again along witha few others I haven't seen for a while
Rumor going round that we rejected a bid for Ayling on transfer deadline day from West Brom. Having Douglas and Ayling camping out in the oppositions box has been a joy to watch so far and he would have been a massive loss to the system we play
I have always believed in if you don't have anything good to say then don't!! Which brings me to the social posters on BPF performance. Keepers are more than most, confidence players. Although I think it has to go down as his mistake for the goal, we have to give him some slack. I for one give him plenty of credit for continuing to come off his line and help cover the defence and continue to play the ball out calmly with his feet. The 1st two games have been amazing, I have watched both twice and enjoyed them a lot. Bielsa has moved mountains with the team and can see him bringing in the new signings into the set up as they gel with the team on the training ground. You can see that a small squad playing the same way will flourish. I think we are a couple of signings away but the start and way we are playing I can see a few players itching to join La Revolution!! I thought Siaz wasted a couple of big chances to shoot trying the impossible flicks etc but if he continues to be given licence I can safely predict a couple of wonder goals from the guy. Here's hoping when the games come thick and fast in the cold weather we don't sink back to our old ways. Finally, if you saw sky sports goal round up at the weekend it was PL in the first slot then Leeds followed by Celtic before the break. Then the rest of the Scottish PL and Championship afterwards. Coupled with the pundits already saying Leeds are in a class of our own!!! I for one am on cloud 9 and wont be coming down until we finish this off!!!!
I have 2 doubts in m y mind 1 Some really big club coming in for Bielsa for the attacking football he engineers can we stop him leaving lets hope we have100m buy out clause Have we enough players to last the season CB could be a problem area for me
I cant remember the last time I felt this good about a Leeds Utd team, it may have been the realisation that DoL had created something from our kids and Vaduka etc. In the days he was talking about Silver players because he couldn't afford Gold players....
Morning all. When we fist got Bielsa's signature I read somewhere that he'd said he wasn't in this for the money, didn't need it, and that he was interested in the challenge of getting Leeds into the Prem and making us successful. We can only hope and pray that he sticks to his word (if indeed, he was quoted correctly !). If that really is his motivation then the reaction of the fans would be key. If he gets the love from the crowd then he'll want to give it back.
Talking of social media, Simon O'Rourke retweeted a bitter sign from a pub in the dog botherers area, which shows live football. Had the game shown as Derby v Sky United. These little teams on holiday in the prem huh
Yes I think I do and I'd love to see the looks on their faces when they see us and Citeh playing beautiful, attacking, entertaining football at the top of the Prem (I'm still dreaming of course !).
Leeds United are set to kick-off their Carabao Cup campaign this week - and there’s some important rule changes that the club will need to be aware of. Marcelo Bielsa’s men face a first round tie against Bolton Wanderers as they take the first steps on the long road to Wembley. ahead of the cup campaign kicking-off, clubs have voted to introduce a number of key rules changes to this season’s competition. At the EFL Summer Conference, held back in June, clubs were in favour of removing extra time from the competition. That means that, should Leeds' first round tie be level after 90 minutes, the game will go straight to penalties. This change was introduced to try and improve player welfare, with a statement from the EFL stating: “The rationale put forward by the EFL is that withdrawing the additional 30 minutes of play would directly address any additional fatigue issues that are occasionally caused when the midweek ties go beyond the traditional 90-minute period.” Furthermore, the format of penalties has also changed - with the ABBA trial utilised last season scrapped with a return to the traditional ABAB taking format now in place. Clubs also voted to remove the seeding element from the first two rounds of the competition, meaning that the Whites could face a side from any of the top four divisions should they progress. Bookings are also now competition-specific - meaning that any yellow cards picked up in this competition won’t translate to a suspension in the league. Such news is a boost for clubs, but means players will have to tread on thin ice to avoid missing out on a potential glamour tie later in the competition. While it won’t be an issue in the first round, VAR can also be used in Carabao Cup ties played in Premier League stadiums this season.
Thing is keeper’s make a mistake it’s a goal generally. He didn’t drop Berardi after his clanger against stoke or Douglas for the penalty. i’ve no idea how he handles keepers but if it’s basically you play til you make a mistake then you’re dropped, i’d Find that a bit bizarre. His ethos is encouraging players to be progressive to take chances and risks. Dropping players after a mistake would be to discourage risk taking surely? Dropping them for lack of effort, for failing to fulfil their role or for simply not displaying enough ability, I can see. If your keeper knows a mistake means he’s dropped... you’re not encouraging him to come and take tricky crosses are you? Hey I don’t know if Blackman is better than bpf... i’d Think bpf has enough credit in the bank to ride out one mistake. Guess we’ll see come Rotherham.
