Well done Qwerty, I was just about to post similar. @SaintsForTheWin clixk the link and report it. It’s the only way to stop it.
Pointles I’ve reported it, but I was a wally and didn’t note down his seat now. Remember the block and row. Won’t do much, but it may get a few more stewards to wander up. Always the minority though. Telling his 6-9 yr old to shout **** off burnley nearly got me to turn around.
We finished the game strongly and I agree with other comments that Ings provided the catalyst for some uncharacteristically positive play. Thought we were fortunate in the first half and our defending had lady luck playing as sweeper. Dramatic improvement in the second half so I hope that we continue in the same vein.
Cheers for doing it, it might not be much but it lets them know, someone else might do the same next week and they'll be able to fix it.
First 20m we looked dire, grew into the game. Armstrong looks promising, shame he took a knock. 2nd half credit to Hughes for having the balls to make a big change. Vestergaard looks great, ings promising too. Impressed with Elyounoussi. We will be ok.
Not sure I'd be happy to do that. He's content in his own world and deserves his privacy. I would say, however, that my sympathy is tempered by the fact that the people who used to be between me and him have now moved their season ticket seats to get away from him. He must be very proud. [Edit: Seems I can't anyway...] Vin
If you were at the game, you really should watch the replay of the game on TV. He kept us in the match (with Alec Mac) for the first 50 minutes. I think we need to work on corners with Ings and Vestergard, there was one time Ings went for the ball and Vestergard was better placed to header at goal and he showed his frustration. Good vibs for the remaining season after we made the technical switch and we played some great football. Redmond big surprise for me, I have never seen the reason why we play him, but after today maybe the coaches have worked on him for the better.
But he can not deliver a good cross. Cedric is the same. IMHO a RB is a position we need to improve on.
McCarthy 7 - kicking poor One of my gripes, not really at McCarthy, but every goal kick we give position right back to the opposition. We need to play out from the back more often
The Redmond thing I think is fairly simple. When he was playing (in the first half) as a second striker he was his usual frustrating self. As soon as he switched to the right wing, his proper position through his career, he was excellent. It’s ‘Tadic on the left’ all over again.
Yeah, I like Stephens and I think he's a very promising footballer but I'm not sure what his position should be. At RB he was fine with defensive duties but he has not got the attacking mentality. He dithered and looked lost up on the edge of their box, killed a couple of attacking opportunities. We do not want to get stuck with our previous problems of only being a threat on the left. I'm sure as the games come and go we will find a solution be it Targett or a more 'up for it' Cedric. Romeu is the other player who needs to find that 'go for it' attacking drive. He made some good surges into space yesterday and got Burnley running backwards which opened up the channels for Ings & Gabbi. We looked dangerous. However 60% of the time he becomes our stop button. Stands on the ball and kills our attacks, I'm hoping we will see less of that this season, last season he was terrible for it. And I think it's contagious, don't want it spreading again *cough* Redmond *cough*. I saw a bit of our old selves from 2 years ago yesterday. I got quite excited.
Gonna have to put my differing viewpoint down to my seat and my, apparently, awful understanding of foot-the-ball!
