What the hell have they done with MoTD ... way too much analysis and having to sit through Jenas and Keown tugging themselves off over their ridiculous touchscreen tv ... JUST SHOW THE MATCHES !! Newsflash: Nobody wants to sit and listen to any more of you three deadheads than strictly necessary to introduce each highlights segment
I'd rather they just showed the matches too but I thought the analysis from Jenas was good, much better than the usual crap.
I'm not saying it wasn't good but the average viewer really doesn't want or need that, we're not in the goddamn changing room at half time or aspiring to become a pro FIFA geek
Jenas is pretty good I find. Different from ex players from the 80s and 90s who haven’t played for 20/30 years
Interviewer to Hughes; "once Danny Ings is fully fit...." He's just had a full pre-season under Klopp, he'll be fitter now than he'll ever be under Mark Hughes ffs
Anyone that's played or watched football for a long time should really know the things they talk about. For anyone that hasn't, it would be very interesting I'd imagine.
I thought he was alright last season but he did my nut in tonight, threshold level well surpassed in the what seemed like a full hour they just gave him
Rather than enter into a pointless squabble with your drunken self, I'll just let you observe Shaqiri
I think he meant after he has a few games under his belt, the first game of the season sees no player fully fit.
So we had a good first game, albeit against weak opposition (I really fear for West Ham, after the money they’ve spent, I expected more from them) - Palace next Monday will give us more of an insight as to where we are tbh, but what about the rest? City - business as usual and that’s with the strongest bench imaginable. Still the ones to beat. Utd - also business as usual....also with quite a few players out. Not pretty but whatever I say about Mourhinos style of play, critics can always point to how successful he is and how effective his football has been. They’re one poor result from a managerial/key player meltdown though imo, will be an interesting watch! Spurs - Unbelievable that they haven’t strengthened. They looked rusty but if they keep hold of Ericsson and keep Kane fit, I’m sure that Poch will have them fighting for top four. Chelsea looked strong. If their players continue to turn up, I believe that they’ll get top 4 again....which means one of the above have to drop out. I really like Sarri and how he got them playing - major threat, again, if they keep their key players; Willian, Hazard. Arsenal will need time of yesterday is anything to go by! I think they now have a top coach but he has a similar job to that of Klopp when he first arrived at Anfield but given their new ownership structure and inevitable investment that will follow, they’ll be back soon enough.
100 was a silly score really. they wouldn't have made that if they focused on cl and didn t draw a great side frankly a lot depends on ****ty sides turning a few of those late wins they had in that long run into draws. lfc have to target a record number of points for lfc and hope city drop more. my point is city won 8 out of 10 top 6 games taking 24 points while lfc took only 10. the previous year lfc took 18 if lfc can put everything together and not drop silly points then 86-90 points with salah, firmino, Keita, vvd and Allison is possible. if city only got 14 v top 6.. instantly thry are back at 90.
