Can't say I'm too excited by that. Just looking at his wikipedia stats he's never spent more than 2 seasons at a club, and the most appearances he's made for a club is 52. Only made 7 appearances for Celtic since joining them 2 years ago, but he was injured inbetween. I trust NA and NC, but he doesn't look on a par with Gorkss and Jemal.
Like I said in the Rumours thread, got a Celtic supporting mate who has very little good to say for him.
Not too enamoured but have to give him a chance . Looks like Rodriguez offer was made but player content where he is.
Full trust in NC & NA + Saint's scouting system. For that reason i think any signing we make i will be pleased with!
Did a bit of research and he was Swedish League player of the year in 2009, Defender of the year in Finland in 2008 and pundits there said he was the new Sami Hyypia.
Ugh, don't think I'd be too happy about this. Celtic fans seem to be delighted that they're turfing him...say he's not imposing, lacking pace, can't stay fit, and talks a far better game than he plays.
Celtic fans thought Fox was bad... I wouldn't take much notice from them. He is tall and left footed so could well be just what we need.
6ft 4 ins Left footed central defender Dutch playing for Copenhagen on loan who declined to sign him up.
This really doesn't strike me as being congruent with the Cortese / Adkins / Saints strategy of bringing players in that are equipped to play / be effective in the English top flight. I think I would be less disappointed if we didn't sign anybody ... initially that is. Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind, after he has made a dozen appearances, notched up at least ten clean sheets and scored a couple of match winners at the other end of the pitch ;-) That said, Cortese and Adkins have done nothing to undermine my confidence in them both so far, so I guess I should be more positive about the posibility. I suppose the question should be, is he better than Martin, Seabourne or Jaidi. If so, we would be strengthening in terms of quality and depth.
