Great buy for 10 million though. We badly need creativity and if he can get back to his 2009 form then that would be brilliant for us.

Anyone who's a true Arsenal fan would be happy if we signed a turd to play in goal. ANYONE is good right now. I wouldn't even mind Francis Jeffers (Free Agent)

Mind you, since you are ' in control ' of the script, I suppose you could make him a hero in your story ;)

  6. Latest news at 19.20hrs is that the Arteta deal has broken down.

According to Phil McNulty the stumbling block was money and it remains to be seen if the deal can be revived. If this was £10m and whatever Arteta's salary was going to be, the way I see it, we are no longer paying the salaries of Fabregas or Nasri so if money was the stumbling block, why could we not afford Arteta?

Who is the idiot at Arsenal who is supposed to be making this happen? Is anything happening at all? Do we not need a midfielder or indeed two? I smell the board's stench all over this

Sky Sports says the deal is off. Arsenal have withdrawn the bid. This is horrible. We behave as a mid table club trying to buy on a cheap players who are not wanted by big clubs. There is definitely something about Arsenal money that we do not know. They promised to reinvest Fabregas money into players - they can not keep the promise.

  13. That is the mystifying thing. The passage of the income from sales.

We know our wealthy American owner has not put a cent into our club. He has only bought the shares so what is the point of having him anyway. Our future is nothing but a toy to these millionaires and shareholders.

Bring back David Dein who if I am not mistaken supported the Usmanov bid.

  14. I also think it is bad that because of the various reasons which make no sense ( someone is not telling everything ) we have messed around Everton and Mikel Arteta.

The board is full of a certain brown thing

Arteta asking for £90k at Arsenal.
Wilshere on £40k Walcott on £60k

Last minute deal maybe if Arteta can agree lower wage?

Sounds very similar to the story at Newcastle - they promised that the money from Andy Carroll's sale would all be re-invested

sounds like smoke and mirrors from Everton. Arteta put in a transfer request on hearing of Arsenal's interest.
Maybe he wasn't after more money after all......
