Its the Chairboys first away game of the season and we are off to the Keepmoat Stadium to take on Donny, a team who's path we have seldom crossed only meeting on five occasions and we have a very good record with three wins and two draws one of those draws was an epic encounter in which we won on pens on our way to the league cup semi final, this will be our second trip to the Keepmoat the first was a 2-2 draw 22 months ago twice coming from behind thanks to a brace from Blooms. Gaz has added to his squad this week and with Harriman being suspended new boy Jason McCarthy and Sido vying for the vacant spot also Bryn Morris is likely to come into midfield for either Beano or Blooms. I will be following this game on Soccer Saturday and Twitter and will be looking for another solid performance doubling our points total and the Beast to open his account for the season
Bryn Morris makes his #Chairboys debut at Doncaster this afternoon. Team: Allsop, Jombati, Jacobson, Stewart, El-Abd, Saunders, Bean, Bloomfield, Morris, Akinfenwa, Williams. Subs: Ma-Kalambay, Gape, Mackail-Smith, Thompson, Freeman, McCarthy #DONvWYC
On the plus side, we didn't have O'Nien (sold) and our new great signing McCarthy didn't play. And Kashket and Tyson were out. It wasn't a bad side we put out (we don't have any deadwood) but it wasn't our best. As was the case last year, let's see how we get on when we field our strongest team
You think you've got troubles. Have a look at Argyle on the beeb stats. Plymouth shots 5. Southend shots 17. We were terrible even if we did get a point. The nearest thing to excitement for Argyle today was a Red card for our manager. I would have preferred it if the playing 11 had got one each.
After just two games league one is sorting it's self out promotion places add Sunderland and Charlton and all the contenders are in the mix bottom half sorted
Our next home game is you on a Tuesday night. ****y death, if we lose that one then it's the trap door already. I'm not going then.
And if we lose to Bristol R and Oxford we'll all be signing petitions "Can we go back to L2 please?" I bet McCarthy is wondering how he got to sign a 3 year contract with us. I reckon Gareth got him pissed. Mustn't get too disheartened though; it's only 2 games and no goals, but we aren't at full strength at the moment (I keep telling myself).
Just remember Ron that team who play in green & white were bottom at Christmas & look where they ended up.
