They are a bunch of ruffians on here and I’ve been in floods of tears many times due to the cruelty of the comments i’ve Received Seriously don’t worry we don’t all have to agree. On Phillips, I do think he’s doing well. Last season he played a different role and his undoubted limitations going forwards and diving into tackles to give away free kicks were often apparent. Sometimes though, change a players role and he does better, which I think is the case here. He was breaking up a lot of attacks and quite often was the starting point for ours. Not eye catching just solid. One example, Roofes second goal (not the header): Sais loses the ball in midfield, Phillips whizzes in and gets it back, plays a boring but effective pass to Klich, who plays a good ball into Roofe who then does his magic, turns and scores. You tend to focus only on the scorer, maybe Klich for the assisting pass, not the player who made all that possible. By the way for Roofes headed goal, the same applies - easy to see it was a good header, easy to see Alioski’s cross was superb, but what about Douglas? He got the ball under pressure, facing his own goal, did an inch perfect reverse pass up the line to Alioski, right to his feet. Without that, no goal - but the SKY commentators only mentioned the cross from Alioski.

Keep on posting fella, it will all be being said without malice despite how it comes over. It’s just prior to you we had quite a few Philips hating type posts so a few of us bark a bit loud to get our “opinion” over Agree or disagree I still enjoy reading your posts, everyone is a good bunch on here, sometimes the banter takes a bit to figure out, I’ve been here 7 years and still haven’t figured it all Anyway, you’ve got more likes than posts so I’d say your contribution and “opinions” are liked more than you realise
