Another thing I like about Bielsa, in his head he has a player for each position, he has obviously drummed it into each one what he expects. When Klich was tiring how many coaches would have swapped Klich for Harrison or Bamford? How many coaches would have went something like okay, Roofe you move out to the left, Alioski you move right, Hernandez you swap with Klich and Klich your off Bamford up front? Not Bielsa he brings on young Shackleton because he is next in line for that position, no moving everybody around, each player has a job, they are going to learn their position and role inside out by the look of things.
I agree with most of what you've said ristac except, I wouldn't be too harsh with Berardi he is playing an unfamiliar role as a cb, hopefully pontus will start next week. The one player who bothers me is Philips. He gives the ball away too often for my liking, hopefully he's only a stopgap until forshaw is fit again....mot
Totally agree I’m really trying not to get excited but screaming at the TV over the 4 goals like I did my throats a bit croaky, the wife’s had 4 near heart attacks and the neighbour will need apologising too tomorrow. Difference is nobody is going to be able to say Stoke and Derby are the worst teams in the division, I know we looked good last season but this is just different, you can see teams thinking wtf do we do? Ayling one side, Douglas the other, Saiz or Hernandez running riot, Klich and Phillips overlapping, this isn’t going to be easy for opponents to work us out Saiz was man marked by Howson, made zero difference.
I thought Philips was great again today, I’m not knocking Berardi, when you have 11 players playing like they did then it’s probably unfair picking out a best and worse, this is all about team effort, I’m loving it
Exactly mate we've beat two good teams comfortably, to say the least, and these same players are different class Derby were frustrated in the end, and you just mentioned his name but I didn't realise Howson was on the pitch he was that anonymous
Personally, I think Phillips is doing a great job wf10, and he's playing a new role too - looks like Bielsa has created a monster. Great to have Forshaw coming back too mind. Berardi's consistency still worries me, but he appears to have found the balance between aggression and GBH. I'm always hard on Alioski, but he shut me up today. Can't argue with a goal and an assist, and he was enjoying being a serious pain in the ass to the big Derby defenders. With the big grin and continually sticking the tongue out, I'm sure Keogh just wanted to bust him.
