Apparently we are offering the toffees player (probably Bendy) plus cash deal, but they arew holding out for a cash only deal!
Site slow - overloaded ! 7.10pm Arsenal have bid £10m for Arteta and may go for Yossi Bennyoon if that falls through
Everton refused offer (plus Arsenal have to consider total cost of contract incl wages). can Yossi be reached? can Bolton agree on £12m for Cahill? its going down to the wire.....
Yossi Benayoun apparently is only looking for a loan arrangement... But whatever is the case I thought we needed two midfielders because we lost two. Actually if you bring in Jack's injury ( 3m layoff supposedly ) then we are looking rather short. The money is a strange matter altogether. If we had not sold Cesc or Nasri, our outgoings would have been their wages. Now that we have sold and are due £80m for them, we suddenly cannot afford a £12m player??? WHat a load of tosh. I really think the board should come clean on this. We are not idiots.
Supposedly wages was the stumbling block. Arteta was on 70K a week at Everton. How much were we paying Cesc or Nasri? SOmething is amiss somewhere so we need to be told more.
transfer window is a ****ing joke. everyone has months to do their business, but leave it until hours before it slams shut. and wenger, he's known for weeks really that cesc and nasri were off, why has he waited until the day it closes? questions need to be asked
I do believe Arsenal have to look seriously at it's wages structure. Surely we knew roughly what Arteta was getting, and judged what we could pay? Is it greed on the player's part - or a misjudgement on Arsenal's? We are trying to be a big club with little club strategies.
