So on balance we played positively but maybe lacking that little bit of quality and experience? Should have taken a point but for a bad pen decision against us? Desperately need these loan signings
Thought we played very well going forward for much of the 1st half with Eze doing very well. Otherwise the final balls in were often not quite good enough - don''t remember either Sylla or Smith getting a chance. Sylla did well first half. Eze clearly our best attacking player but showed his inexperience defensively especially at the end giving them free kicks. Toni was solid at the back. Kakay played well, Freeman very good 1st half, more quiet 2nd, probably why we went off the boil.
Bright-Samuel looked better than Smyth. New German looks better than Ned. Good too that the board choosing to invest in a new 5hithouse didn’t mean re-signing Bosingwa.
Been offline for the afternoon, so having scanned through this thread, sounds like we played well but lacked the quality required in the final third.
A very objective reflection. Plus the penalty decision went seriously against us. A draw would have been a fair and deserved result.
That would be a bit charitable mate. We were good for twenty minutes just before and after we scored but conceded a poor goal at a poor time then got bullied for the rest of the game.
Thought we was far to deep at times & gave too much of the ball, German was ok, not enough penetration up front & little support, deserved a point, pen decision poor.
It's nice to see the match day thread hasn't turned to carnage and doom and gloom after today's result. Really hope we get points on the board next weekend to settle the nerves a bit though. Hope we aren't waiting til the 31st to get these loans in either.
More extensive time wasting by our opponents today Just how many fake injuries can one team have in 15 mins? Unfortunately we only really upped our game today when 2-1 down Urgently need more ideas and options up front
Cheers Jeff, sounds like a fair summation of the game It does show that we need more experience and a real striker God forbid we get any major injury setbacks
Fromey i think we all recognize our limitations this season hence a more balanced response when it goes against us I do have a gnawing worry though that escaping the bottom 3 is going to occupy most of our thoughts
It is game 2. We have sold experience and not replaced. It's only the managers 2nd game. We haven't been humiliated. No point in moaning?

I'm not moaning Ellers, far from it Just a little worried, but the sooner we get some points on the board we will all feel happier
