I can't be bothered to keep up this charade of positivity. We've been dire this season, and the sooner the rest of you fellow gooners say this, the better.
You are correct. You and the the rest of the negative supporters have in fact, and without a trace of sarcasm, been dire.
I have every right to be negative. We sold our best players, we signed inadequate replacements, we made arses of ourselves against the scum, our board are out of their depth, our owner doesn't care about the club etc. Credit to wenger for keeping the ship upright, we could easily have sunk by now.
Only 3 games in and you've lost to United and Liverpool. i.e. The current champions and CL finalists and a team who will gladly go hundreds of millions in debt just to try to reclaim their lost pride. Most teams this year will lose to them and the league positions at the moment are unreliable. Chin up. Theres still a few bargains to get and 35 more games to play.
I'm still annoyed with Wenger's last couple of years - 'watching Rome burn' but very hopeful that we can now reorganise and become a proper challenging side again. Even better if we can offload more deadwood.
Getting rid of of some deadwood would be a help to all the squad, so many wasters sitting around our club on big money, our wage limit is low but the average players are overpaid. look at Almunia on 50k a week, disgraceful waste of our hard earned money, that extra cash would have kept Nasri never mind his trash talking..
It will be a long hard season...We have to take the rough with the smooth..... The empire has been crumbling for a while, we did not get to this position over-night, it has taken about 5yrs of asset stripping.... I don't think there is going to be any magic wand, it will take longer to get back the glory years!
Seen it repoted several times previously, that the major why we can't shift him apart from the fact he is total s hite obviously!
