I'm sorry but you're going to the extreme here glp. He did a **** goal kick off. Nothing else wrong with his performance.
Apart from the 2 shots for their 2nd and 3rd goals. His **** goal kick that led to us conceding the 2nd and his failure to prevent the third which was not a well struck shot - you could say he had a great game!
i do the reason he didn't is because his reactions are that slow he couldn't even get his arms out the ball went right across him and huttons goal was even worse such slow keeping fact but it's pointless discussing it he will be the number 1 this season
I thought he was poor , and it wasn't a one-off , he's been consistently poor for us I wouldn't drop him after one game though considering our options in goal
No need for anyone to pussyfoot around. Marshall is ****ing ****e and the sooner he's dropped the better for all us paying customers.
Adkins will drop Marshall sooner rather than later, I said pre-season he looks shaky and young lads at the back will be affected by that like de Wijs. Another club might have addressed the issue before now but not ours
His major error was the turning point in the match, to say he did nothing wrong otherwise just shows you don't know what you are talking about. Anybody watching the match could see the disconnect between the goalie and the defence.
Am I forgetting some Marshall howlers or are people exaggerating them? I can remember he did a really bad one against Everton in one of Phelan's last games and then obviously the other night. Is there more?
I've said before re Marshall... maybe just maybe (and I am prepared to be shot down) its not Adkins total choice about who is number 1... we do keep signing more goalkeepers...
If you played football at any sort of level at all you would know a shaky keeper impacts on the entire defence. I don't agree with the Marshall bashing but it's going on for a reason. Smily faces isn't really a coherent analysis mate.
It's not so much the errors, but the fact that he's not 'Marshalling' his defence . I played at a good level in defence and if you had a dodgy keeper behind you it would always effect your game, so in that sense i feel sorry for De Wijs, even though he was poor the other night.
How could you see the disconnect? Can it be measured? Can only great players like yourself see it? Where did you see it from? The tv? The north stand? Please enlighten us
