Don't know much about him. If he has good stamina and presses the opposition players: yes. If he's lazy and only does any work when he's on the ball: no. He's Coventry's captain so it might bring some much needed experience and leadership into our midfield. And now Gradel's gone, it looks like central midfield will have to step up and really belt out the goals and assists if we're to keep scoring anything like we did last season (and let's face it, with the defence we've got, we'll have to). Clingan's meant to be a playmaker sort so I guess he fits the bill in that respect.

But like I say, most important for me is that he chases down the opposition and covers the defence well.

Seems to do what Kilkenny was supposed to i.e. cover the defence and control the play from DM.

Coventry fans sound like they would be as gutted as us losing Gradel so who knows. What worries me is that we play 4-4-2 Nunez, Howson, Clayton, Snodgrass where would this guy fit it? If he replaces Howson okay I am all for that but then why did we sign Brown and to have Howson sitting on the bench as a luxury when we have such a poor defence, I give up.

    Becchio

    Nunez - Howson - Snodgrass

    Clayton - Clingan

    **** bastard 1 - 2 - 3 - and 4

    Lonergan

Would be my way of doing it. Drop Clayton/Clingan for Brown if we look lightweight and one of them isn't performing.

Leeds-18 I accept that but I have a feeling 4-4-2 is here for a good while yet.

I suspect 4-4-2 will only be with us until Becchio is 100%.

Well Becchio is aiming to be on the bench for our next match against Palace as he is back in full training.
