Sorry Sky, your missing the point. Yossi wouldn't come in as an automatic starting player or anywhere near that, but I'm pretty sure with the current system we're likely to play a formation which will need a central creative midfielder, Yossi can backup Gerrard if he needs a rest etc.
I'm not fussed either way if he comes back - as long as it means nothing to do with Meriles going the other way.
BBC Sport's John Sinnott on Twitter: "From source close to player over Craig Bellamy's potential move to Liverpool: "Just a medical in case because deal is still a long way away". BBC sports news correspondent Dan Roan on Twitter: "OK I'm told by those in the know that of the three clubs chasing Benayoun, the most likely destination is... Liverpool FC."
I don't think this is true, it's an easy story for the media and fans to make up because Cole went the other way.
I realise that - and i think he's a pretty decent player. But i honestly think we have far better quality to step in for Gerrard at the moment with Adam and Henderson. Yossi will end up playing once or twice this season, pointless transfer to be honest and far too old to be worth people getting excited about.
agreed Not sure about the Hazard thing Arabexpat pretty sure this wouldn't happen as it's not really up to Lille to give us first option on him anyway. It's more likely we've just asked to be kept informed of any other bids etc. Good player though.
Leon_Mann Leon Mann Very close source to Asamoah Gyan tells me he's handed in a transfer request. #SAFC if true i think we should get a bid in pronto. just a massive IF..
Sunderland fans, check this out, BBC Sport's Leon Mann reports striker Asamoah Gyan has handed in a transfer request at the Stadium of Light. Woah If true wonder where he wants to go. wouldnt be to impressed by Bellamy or Benyoun signing. If Ngog goes would of thought we would have a striker lined up as 3 strikers isnt enough till January.

sorry for ANOTHER double post- always comes up with an error when I post so try again and two appear..
Woah. I keep an eye on Sunderland as my uncle is a massive fan and I think he has been a prick. He's done **** all this season and looked lazy. Don't want him.
Kid's got talent though and maybe it's because he's at (and no offence to the club) Sunderland- a team who aren't challenging for champions league. I always thought he was only there as a stepping stone and would be an excellent 3rd striker for us. BUT as we know plenty of ****e gets spoken on days like today
