    This is what Nolan told LFC TV , yes LFC TV. **** knows why he was speaking to them.

    "When we first heard about the move he asked me what I thought. You can imagine my reaction. I was delighted for him,"

    "I'm gutted we've lost him but delighted he's gone to a fantastic club."

    "Believe me you have got a top, top player. He's going to be one of the best. There's no-one like him in the league.

    "He'll score and create goals. He'll also show great desire and commitment. That's what Liverpool fans want and deserve."

    Is this guy our captain? Sounds like he had a big role to play in the transfer of Carroll. Very disappointed with Kevin.

    To be fair they seem like really good mates and Nolan just clearly wants the best for his pal, its something any of us would do and I dont think he should be blamed, I' sure hes gutted about him not being in the team but at the end of the day some things are more important... It sounds like its Carroll himself we should be angry with.

    He'll never get to be Gerrards bitch at Liverpool.

    i agree to an extent like. i'd have thought nolan would see it's a sensetive issue and avoid waxing lyrical about the club that nicked our star striker. i think there's a dig at ashley in there, the whole big club thing. it's like he's saying mike ashley can't expect nufc to be deemed a big club and keep it's best players if we've got a 50k per week wage cap. he has a point but i can't help wondering if he's maybe trying to throw his hat into the ring for a move to liverpool in the summer. he and carroll are brilliant together and if he keeps himself on king kenny's radar then who knows.....

    ****ing hope not though!

    Nolan can **** off aswell he should be stripped of captaincy, to go on LFC TV and tell them your delighted for him and that the anfield fans deserve it, NUFC didn't deserve him etc... bit disrespectful to us fans to be honest I think he told Carroll to go since he is a Liverpool fan and hoping he can join Carroll at Liverpool in the summer!

    Well Nolan's not exactly going to slag off Liverpool or Carroll when asked about it.

    "Top player, top club, will score/create, great commitment, delighted for him yardy, yardy, yardy ya!"

    Disagree with him being interviewed on lfc tv (was it?), maybe on ssn- but by liverpool is questionable!

    I dont think there is anything wrong with this, at all. Nolan is a Liverpool fan, of course he is going to be gutted Carroll left, but if he was going to leave to go anywhere, i think Nolan would want it to be Liverpool.

    Some of you lot need to screw your ****ing necks in like.

    I agree Barton should be Captain though, has been a absolute legend this year!
