Its worth a read just to see what was happening behind the scenes and in particular how the top tier management operate!
Because the press are just making stuff up to fill column inches ........................ nothing more than that.
More likely be shipping him in in the back of a refrigerated lorry from Calais and hoping he thaws out in time for Saturday. We will tell him to go and hide round the back of the stands whenever they come to do a Work Permit check.
I'll have to get into that, though I usually read to relax, not to explode in a volcanic storm of rage. Does make me wonder - how does it work? For example, we couldn't get Lucas Perez for pittance last time Rafa wanted him (Jan). Then without even trying he's gone to West Ham, on loan. Did we 'forget'? I think if Charnley is doing absolutely everything on his own, is it any wonder it's such a mess? At the likes of Everton, West Ham, So'ton, etc., is it just one bloke watching a fax machine, or do they have a number of people calling, trying to arrange deals, etc.? The fact Barnes is hidden from view suggests he doesn't get involved in external discussions, only internal ones. So who does Charnley have? Why is it only Charnley? Why does Charnley allow it to only be Charnley? Just questions, questions, questions and no answers. I can't even guess at answers, because none of it makes any sense.
We're gonna activate Modric's £668m release clause and give him a 10 year contract....instantly making him worth £1000m. I can see the £££'s flashing in Ashleys eyes already ! You heard it hear first!
Seriously would anyone take Balotelli on a free at £120k wages? Just a thought for a potential signing who would cost nothing, no loan fee or transfer fee!
Nope, waste of space for me and would cause too much disruption in the dressing room in my opinion. I'd rather have HBA back on a pay as you play deal.
No,but there would also be his signing on fee as there is no transfer fee which I would guess would come to a penny or two.
En route to the toon as we speak according to the guy outside the training ground who's just been on SSN now. He did mention that no deal had been agreed tho but did mention the £6m price tag.
He'd be able to hit the ground running - so probably the best available budget option to replace Lejuene. Schar looks like he might need some time to adapt.
Another relegated player added along with Ki and Rondon. Muto nearly got relegated with Mainz. Dubravka, Schar we got with good release clauses (I am sceptical of Schar). Kenedy is a good loan. Seven players in the door which sounds pretty Good. Is this a successful window?
Some of the players we have signed look pretty good. Overall though the transfer window can only ever be a failure when we have plenty of money in the bank but refuse to sign the top choices of a manager who should have earned the trust of MA by now, and in the process leave the squad incompletely strengthened.
If we somehow get a lb in too then I'd say this would be a 'par' transfer window. We've strengthened a tad (although there are some shortcomings). Underwhelming once again but it could have been a lot worse.
Zinchenko's move to Wolves has fallen through. Time for a left back yet? Still utterly bemused as to how Perez is going to be the only option in that attacking role. And it's frankly disgusting that Joselu is going to be either on the pitch or the bench on Saturday.
