Agree there, she is stunningly beautiful. I just cannot believe she is 51-years old, looks so much younger.

Looks 'exactly' fifty one to this connoisseur, and that suit jacket does not do her justice.

    Off for a cold shower!

She would look great in any gear including a Dirndl, and no way does she look 51. Enjoy your cold shower!

Ffffffforget the shower; I have just had a vision of Ms. Hayek, in full waitress garb, approaching my restaurant table with a 12oz. sirloin steak in peppercorn sauce with 'Petersilienkartoffeln' and a 0,5l glass of Weissbier. Not too sure but I think I am in 'Zum Franziskaner'!

Yes, that would be my version of 'Paradise' too, but 'hold' the Weißbier and replace with a 'Spezial' Helles. Now looking for my Wiltshire Choice Weed kit for an afternoon session. <ok>

Better not impart this thought to your 'missus'.

I presume your afternoon pass time is to be spent al fresco and this is not 'Munchener' for some subterfuge?

Too bloody hot for al fresco! That does in a way sound like the name of a, say, Panamanian jockey riding in California?

FC Bayern at training camp in/at Tegernsee; defeated a local village team 2 - 20. No stopping 'us' now!

Fraid not; useless exercise however very scenic place for a few days tuning up for Sunday's 'Super Cup' against Eintracht Frankfurt. Still over two weeks until Bundesliga starts; peed off!

Good grief, this gives association football a bad name, if it doesn't have one already?

Up here in the tundra every schoolboy grew up knowing the record score from 1885:

    Arbroath 36 - 0 Bon Accord

    Those were the days!

"The Blackadder and Mr Bean star said the former Cabinet minister had made a “pretty good” joke when he suggested women wearing face-veils looked like letterboxes, and insisted it was pointless to apologise for joking about religion as it always causes offence.

In a letter to The Times, he wrote: “You should really only apologise for a bad joke. On that basis, no apology is required."

Although, in his position, Boris was stupid to make the comment, I imagine there are a few comedians who wish they had thought of it

Just like the Bayern München bullies who routed the poor old Tegernsee village team recently. The brewery people should have done their part and got the Bayern players pissed before the game (probably would have been easy) to level things up? Just cannot figure out why you love the Bundesliga so much, but I guess you are used to these one-horse affairs being Scottish? Although Scotland used to be a 2-horse contest, will it ever be that again? However, back to Germany, have noted that Bayern are usually cut down to size when they venture into Europe? <whistle>

(……….but, to be fair, they were a tad unlucky in the Champions League last season).

I became very interested in young 'Franz' leading up to 1966. In those days your knowledge of overseas football came from your Christmas Annuals and visits to our quickly disappearing (at least in England) public libraries. If I recall correctly Rangers Glasgow came up against Cologne (this is now becoming very spooky) in the Cup Winners Cup in the early 1960's and were then defeated by FC Bayern in the 1967 tournament. I was smitten! Although I continued to follow my home town team of 'Hearts' my own heart lay with 'Bayern'.

The fans of Rangers seem fairly confident they will at least finish a close second to Glasgow Celtic this season; I am not so sure. It should be remembered that Aberdeen have now finished second for the last four years and had they not lost three times against Rangers last season they would have finished a lot closer to Celtic.

The way the 'money' has gone over the last two/three years I would judge that FC Bayern have competed fairly well in the Champion's League. This will continue and maybe once every twelve years or so, with a wee bit of good fortune, FC Bayern will win the Champion's League. It does not take a financial genius, co-respondents included, to see that the TV money in the EPL, the Chinese investment in the Milan clubs, the recent cash slung into Juventus, the vagaries of the Spanish TV deal and Paris St. Germain's many branched money tree that it will become even more difficult for 'my brave lads' to compete.

As an aside an English guy who is deemed an expert on European football matters remarked that, as the 'English' transfer window has now closed, the Chairmen of most other European clubs were chuffed that we can now return to a proper market. We have now reached a situation where internal deals between two mid ranking EPL clubs are greater than FC Bayern's biggest outlay!

How are your hopes for QPR this season?

Oh dear, BK, I deserve this enquiry. Am afraid my old club (which I have followed since I was 10-years old, even though I am not exactly from the 'Bush', but was well within cycling distance from Kingston), are in very real trouble. They were heavily fined by the Football League for transfer irregularities during the Mark Hughes/Harry Redknapp times. The then owner (now part owner), Tony Fernandes, or Tan Sri Anthony Francis Fernandes, CBE, to give him his full name, is a very nice guy but, footballwise, very much a dreamer IMHO. In short, the club is virtually broke and have been unable to buy any new players. They have managed to hang on to most of last season's squad (the better players) with the exception of Smithies, the goalkeeper, who has gone to Cardiff. This season could well be dire, we'll see. I am sure Stick and Bustino will correct any errors I have made, just going by memory and have not Googled anything.

Again, just my opinion, it was mainly Mark Hughes, and maybe to a lesser extent, Harry Redknapp, who contributed most to the possible demise of my old QPR. Hope they survive the financial mess, but it will be tough. Used to say the odd word or two on the forum football thread, but even the fans are cursing each other nowadays!

I shall add QPR to my FCB, 1860, Der Club, FC Koln and The Jambos list of results I search for each weekend.

We have discussed this before but Tony Currie was and will remain one of my favourite footballers ever!
