Is it? Interesting. Swap deals are too complicated and rarely work out. You need him though. Your best CB is made of glass.
I think Bailly will be solid this season, he's probably technically the best centre half we've had since Rio and could be amazing if as you say he could stay in the first team without injuries. Lindelof has looked a lot better than he first appeared but still a bit immature. The rest can **** off, especially Jones who is awful. He wouldn't start for any other top 8 team so don't see why he gets in our team so often.
I'd rather persist with the ones we have than get Boateng, who i don't rate at all. I've got no issue with Martial leaving though, it seems inevitable. We should at least be asking for Muller or Lewandowksi in return though.
Just asked this on our board so will chuck it here for Utd fans. If Utd or Spurs approached one another and said "Toby for Martial, no money involved", would you take that? Was asked in a WhatsApp group I'm in.
Two of Rojo, Smalling and Jones need to leave. We should then get Maguire or Alderweireld and make a partnership out of whichever one we sign with Bailly or Lindelof. Fosu Mensah and Tuanzebe should then understudy. Shame they've both gone on loan, again!
I rate Boateng, he's very assured and positionally very aware. He's basically what Liverpool fans think VVD is, but he actually is.
Of the three we're currently linked with he's bottom of the list by a distance. I don't think Bayern players are tested very much in the bundesliga and he had a piss poor world cup and not very good CL, if memory serves. Not a fan to be perfectly honest.
I'd really as soon we have Maguire playing the Bruce/Stam/Vidic role alongside Bailly. Sign the ****er up for **** sake!
Muller lost it 2 years ago mate. I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole He's a beast and solid when he concentrates .I just think he is a bit luiz esque in that sometimes he wanders or doesn't concentrate and gets caught out.
Tel mate it's about time you got honest with yourself. Living in denial is painful bro. VVD is one of the best in the business. Deep down you know that.
That's nonesense, a player of his ability doesn't 'lose it' at his age. He just needs a change of scenery. Still a great player. Boating is anything but a beast, concentrating or not. Miles from it.
Rooney lost it young. So did ronaldinho. So did Owen. Point is Muller is shocking nowadays whenever I see him whilst he was amazing and world class before
Have a look at this pass from Bale. ****ing outrageous! https://bleacherreport.com/post/world-football/182efda0-2c9c-4f21-ade3-00c96b279822
