@RogerisontheHunt just watched ep 5 of The Affair where Cole meets Nan. Superb.
I have a problem with it. It yet again reinforced the idea that these people will just jump into bed with anyone, both guys in this case. I mean they have to be the most selfish set of characters.

Feels like the writer is just throwing in sex scenes to sell the programme. Doesn't seem realistic.

And that half was so ****ing pretentious, California hippy ****.

I agree on the selfish comment, they are an unlikeable bunch but this is what I find interesting. Cole to me has always been the good guy but that seemed to be slipping away until this episode and you can now see what may well be a predictable ending where the 2 people at the heart of the show who were bound tradegy may well find their way back together or at least to an understanding and a way forward for both.

The Vik bit was daft but he's dying and with a complete **** so yes go buy a Porche and **** the cute neighbour, I'm with him all the way there despite it being a bit of trash writing.

Thats the bit I could buy, its also obvious she'll get pregnant now, salt in the wound.

It was the Cole side I had a problem with. First day in Cali he finds exactly who he's looking for, she invites to some pretentious arty party and is set up with the hot woman (who he turns down claiming he loves his wife), only later the next day he goes on some bullshit voyage of cleansing and discovers he's really still in love with his Ex-wife and then humps the hot girl after all despite coming to afore mentioned realisation. And then goes home after like 2 days.
It was like they were trying to make him more interesting by throwing in this hippy ****, but end up writing trashy chicklit.

It's a programe that certainly frustrates at times but I like it a lot, this season is a lot better than the last and with them finishing it with one more then it's certainly something that I've enjoyed.

Picnic at Hanging Rock is also one I'm enjoying at the moment which is unusual for me with BBC dramas.

Its certainly better than last Series, which was awful and jumped the shark with the Noah story.

Watched The Death of Stalin yesterday. Very funny, about the power struggle following Stalins death but told as a farce 8/10
