Nope, I’d rather stick a red hot poker up my arse than be associated with that motley collection of geriatric oddballs & windbags.
@ForestHillBilly Apparently it’s possible to join this CAST “board” () without Election now ...to see if you are a “good fit” Not sure if this offer extends to all long term Charlton fans ?
It does. Co-Opted until the autumn elections. Just in time to be the 'fans representative' on the new Board, particularly useful if you're besties with an executive Board member.
Interesting choice of phrase about the anointment as well. To vote against it in October will be to organise a rebellion ? #alwaysthevictim
While I disagree with James being co-opted on to the board, it's important to get it in context. Throwing personal insults at those who give up their time to keep the trust going (outside the tent pi55ing in) may be jolly good fun, but I'm not going to join in. It would be different if I was prepared to put in the same amount of work to keep the trust going, but I can't be bothered, so will continue to respect those who do. And they do wish more fans would put themselves forward. I feel that your gift for insulting language is misdirected in this case.
Nope. All you need to know is that a vote against the no doubt preferred candidate is regarded as “organising a rebellion”.
It was a phase used on another forum by CAST’s new co-opted / unelected person. He claims it’s a good chance to see if the role is a good fit for him, and quote “gives people the chance to organise a rebellion if it’s not”. That’s an interesting take on democracy- describing the possibility that mere fans don’t actually want you to represent them as a “rebellion”.
Contrary to what you may think I don't read most of CL, apart from being inexplicably drawn to the wretched takeover thread, so I missed this. CASTrust doesn't do "rebellions" up until now, so if he wonders why his presence is regarded as unwelcome by some he should take a critical look at his own behaviour.
If the Chairman won't resign after his Comments he should be given a vote of no confidence and forced out.
