Lyon’s exciting forward talent Myzaine Maolida has mysteriously withdrawn from today’s match-day squad to face Chelsea in a friendly, with OL not offering a specific reason for his doing so, but nevertheless confirming the news initially broken by L’Équipe last night.

Maolida remains the subject of negotiations from Newcastle United, even if Lyon have decided that they would prefer to keep him and sell more experienced winger Maxwel Cornet instead, who is reportedly attracting interest from a host of Premier League sides.
