The one post about the match you picked up on was mine and your first line was a friendly dig. If you do that, you really should expect one back. That is why things would be back to normal as you put it If you didn’t get your jingles in such a jangle every time someone doesn’t nominate one of your favourites for a Ballon D’Or in a match report we would probably get along fine. Not sure that our friendly debates could ever be described as mind invigorating though
Genuine question, why Roofe and Philips to fizzle out? On Sundays performance I’d say not a chance, but looking at the squad depth I’d say I can see why Roofe when we’ve splashed out on Bamford and have Roberts but Harrison is more likely to replace Alioski, Hernandez more likely for his legs to tire as the season progresses and Klich was Forshaws replacement. Bielsa loves Philips, he won’t get shifted too easily, a very difficult position to play and a position that gets unnoticed by the majority of the fans.
Phillips has his good days, but is also a hot and cold player who goes wandering and does get lost. Everyone's trying to impress Bielsa for positions, I don't think Phillips will be able to hold on, either by form or another player stepping up. Bielsa liking Phillips ain't going to make a difference. Roofe played a good game against Stoke, but his end ball delivery needs a lot of work, no point in putting in the effort if he can't deliver the final ball on a regular basis. There was one instant on Sunday Roofe crossed it into the box empty of Leeds players. Harrison's got a lot of work to do if he's to replace Alioski, I think players like Alioski, Saiz, Pablo and Douglas have played themselves into next starting 11. Agree Pablo's legs may not be what they used to be, but he showed Sunday he was fit and lasted the match with fuel to spare, over 46 weeks, plus cup games will show if he's fit enough to play every match. I still like the combo of Alioski, Saiz and Pablo playing, created big problems for Stoke, now we've got Klich working well too, they could be the awesome foursome. These are my opinions.
Doesn't worry me whether others share my opinions on players, or certain players or not, it's their prerogative based on their own opinions. I've said all along everyone has their own personal perceptions on players and performances, and they're entitled to air those views. My jingles don't jangle, and my jangles don't jingle and never the twain shall meet. My balls however are big enough for me to stand on my own two feet. Doubt we'll get along Marcus, your jingles will never jangle with my janglers....
He we go again ..... This time it's 2 players accidentally scoring, tackling, being MOTM etc. Need to sign Atenucci & Adryan immediately!
Fair enough, it was a genuine question I think a lot of players showed what they could do last season and they also showed a non trying bad side as well, no room for anyone to slack as we had some genuine quality on the sidelines on Sunday
And nor would I want them to. My real point was don’t be bleating about things being “back to normal” (you have previous) when you started the baiting.
