Remember, if he was strongly linked with one of Sky's blue-eyed boys this game would be his "farewell present" - but as he isn't, it's obviously proof he'll stay...
Maybe but he’d have to go some to be better than Son. Great talent no denying that but think he needs to mature as a player and a person. He hasn’t been helped by Jose though, Jose may be a winner but he’s got a terrible record of developing young talent.
And that's the thing. In Poch he'd have a manager that wanted to sign him the first time around so clearly believes in him whereas Jose is only ever after the finished article.
Yeah Poch is a perfect manager for him. I just think it’s gonna be hard for him to get the ideal run of games he’d want if he joined. He’d definitely get more minutes here than Utd but would it still be enough? Tough to say. I’d be happy if he joined though, would definitely add quality to an already strong area.
...or disrupting other team's transfer plans by offering much larger wages for a player he has no intention of using, which works a depressingly large percentage of the time
The EPL needs to bring in a rule governing the maximum number of players a club can loan out at any one time. This would stop the hoarding policy that some clubs follow.
I think he’d be in the starting eleven before long. He’s got so much potential and would thrive at Spurs.
Grealish watch: Impressive first 45. Got an assist from a corner. Linked play nicely, involved in most of Villa’s forward play. Second 45 a bit quiet. Subbed off on 85 mins. They don’t usually sub him off. Last goodbye perhaps?
Bernard to everton. Surprised levy didn't pick him up on a bargain. Was really highly rated and had a few clubs chasing him a year or 2 ago. Can't go wrong with a free transfer .surprised we didn't get him seeing we need a new midfielder
Kovacic supposedly gone on strike. Not a fan of players doing that but as it’s Madrid I’d make an exception. There’s a spot here for you, Mateo. You’ll also be able to join us in our dislike for Madrid.
Apparently United have offered a £40 million “take it or leave it” offer for Toby. If that is the case then let’s very much leave it. As potentially losing £15 million next summer is a far better alternative than selling him now with no replacement, for what would be a paltry figure in today’s over inflated market.
I know we are having a laugh at this situation but it really is incredible that we have got within 2.5 days of the window closing and nothing major has happened in or out. There are hardly any rumours either which is incredible. I don’t want to slag off Levy as he had been a brilliant chairman for us, but IMO it is disappointing not to sign anyone to try and improve our squad. If the window closes and we are as we are now, then the pressure on saturdays game will be massive.
Yeah I guess. And hopefully Moura and Lamela (if not injured again), will be like new signings. I would happily keep Toby and then just add a midfielder and I would be glass half full. However selling Toby and adding no one would give a terrible message to the rest of the squad.
