Club culture may be an issue for all the leaving players because I don't think we ooze either success or ambition and that probably will continue to make us an also-ran at best.
If I thought we were losing the absolute magic player we saw vs Man U then I would be crying into my coffee now. Trouble is, that player left us back in January. £6m will do thanks. Next........
Villa fans seem excited https://www.villatalk.com/topic/17828-joe-bryan/ They talk about taking players from ‘lesser’ clubs though and refer to the 5-0 dicking they gave us. I’m starting to dislike Aston Villa.
Villa fans have got a huge opinion of themselves and Wolves have gone the same way. Would like both to succumb to the "lesser clubs" this season - that's both you and us.
I hope he turns Vile er down. They used to be a club I enjoyed on TV but since I’ve been following the championship banter page on Facebook (I know most are kids) but they are complete twats. I loved it when they failed the play off finals.
Let’s be fair if I doubled your wages and offered you a great chance of promotion everyone of you would take it. I said elsewhere SL has invested his money into property and the does not reduce in value.Player wise we pick up cheap and untried players and invest very moderately in the championship. We are never going to be a major force without significant investment in the team. That my friends is why are so called better players will move on.Lack of progression on the pitch.
Our model , whether you like it or not , is produce/buy young players with potential, bring them on, then sell at a profit , to invest and do the same all over again , all the time looking to improve our position. When we started this process we were at the foot of League 1 , each season since we’ve improved our position so plainly thus far it’s succeeded.
How much can Bristol City spend v income? Mr Lansdown does spend significant sums v that income. The club has debt of twenty million plus due to its spending.
