Aguero has been brilliant for years and surely you can see he's a more complete forward than Kane? You can't just go on stats.

I have to agree with Tel, he's the best striker in the league.

I wouldn’t disagree that he’s been far and away the best for a few years. But, right now, I believe Kane has the edge.

I wouldn’t go by yesterday. The Chavs were absolutely dire, once City scored it was just a matter of how many.

I didn't see yesterday, I'm going by what I've watched over the last few years.

I think Kane is better in a team that's set up to play to his strengths whereas you could put Aguero in any system and he'd still be brilliant.

Like De Silva, Fernandinho, et al...

And, yes, Sterling usually plays well for City. Something to do with having top quality players around him, perhaps??

Pretty sure until pep took over i was the only guy to ever rate fernandinho.

Everyone thought he was a pony unskillful brazillian under pellegrino.

In any case, Fernandinho isn't exactly a creative genius is he <laugh>. Yes i forgot about those mercurial talents of Negredo, Nasri and Fernando

Nah if you know football you always knew how good he was, same as Carrick.

Whichever way you look at it they’ve always had generally better players than us, as their performances suggest.

There’s no disputing that Aguero has better players and a higher level of service around him.

Try not to be ridiculous and maybe I’ll give a sensible answer.

You have no reasoning in you mate. There's no point going on about this with you. I'd hang my hat on this statement: Sergio Aguero would deliver a PL trophy for Spurs if you swapped him for Kane.

I have very good reasoning.

No doubt Aguero is a great striker, but right now Kane has the edge for me,

And, no he wouldn’t, Aguero would miss the service he currently gets from the army of top class players around him.

We’ll see what this season brings,

So the likes of Alli and Eriksen who are valued by Spurs at stupid amounts are nowhere near Silva and De Bruyne?

Mate you're talking utter bollocks, they provide Kane with 30 odd goals per season, only Aguero would get the job done against the best teams as well.

Eriksen, yes. Alli is not in the class of De Bruyne or Silva,

The simple fact that you choose to constantly ignore is that City have more top class players in their squad than we do.

Kane scores all kinds of goals against all types of opposition.

The only team that Kane's played against in the Premier League and failed to score is Cardiff.
I'm sure they'll welcome your adulation.

Does that not prove my point even more? When he really needs to win a game he hides despite the fact that he's scores goals against these teams when the pressure is off.

Where was he against Croatia?

Can I just ask... is there any non-Spurs fans who genuinely think Kane is the best striker the PL has to offer?

Anybody...?

Missing twice from three yards.

1. Thierry Henry
2. Eric Cantona
3. Didier Drogba
4. Alan Shearer
5. Ruud Van Nistelrooy
6. Dennis Bergkamp
7. Sergio Aguero
8. Andy Cole
9. Luis Suarez
10. RVP

One sticks out like a sore thumb but he was devastating to watch so he gets in.
