Looks like a long delay as the planning decision is being taken to court http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-bristol-14717102 The way this is dragging on you may end up having to use the 2026 World Cup bid to steamroll it through.
Its the difference I guess between the two clubs we want to own our own stadium and have it in Bristol where Rovers are hoping to move to a stadium in Gloucester that will be owned by the University. Rome wasn't built in a day
"gasheads" don't own a stadium now and won't in the future, they pay rent to Dunfraud and his Memorial Stadium Company and will be tenents to UWE.... Before "gasheads" say he is like Steve Lansdown,no Dunfraud is a minority shareholder in BRFC does not own it,where as Steve has the majority shareholding in BCFC, and owns Ashton Gate,as well as the planned Ashton Vale development.
Not quite sure what you`re trying to prove there Wise old chap. Neither Rovers or C**y as clubs own their stadiums so the stake holder in either stadium or club is totally irrelivent.
Just in a simplistic way trying to demonstrate the differences in the way we both are trying to move forward,we want to own and develop our own facility,"gasheads" want to rent, fair enough by the way but no asset value... Just an add-on Bristol City FC is 100% owned by Bristol City Holdings ltd which in turn are both owned by Steve Lansdown,so effectively BCFC do own Ashton Gate..... http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/companydetails/0,,10327,00.html
Mr Lansdown owns each as a separate company, the club do not own the stadium Anyway lets not detract from the article, when do you think this will get resolved?
Your interpretation and ours of course differ and quite rightly, I don't want to detract from the article,I've got no idea how this is going to end up,it's so frustrating for all of us Reds..
They do have a couple of fans in there, on no wait....thats an advertising board. Sorry, looked like their 5 fans for a moment their
