What a load of hypocritical nonsense eminating out of Aston Villa, they are spouting on about Tottenham offering only £20m for Jack Grealish and the fact that he is worth £40m plus and he is going nowhere unless their terms are met, then in the next breath they say what a great and complete player Joe Bryan is and that Steve Bruce is reported to be going to bid £3.5m for him knowing we have valued him at £6m plus. What planet are they on, wake up and smell the coffee, pay up the true value or bugger off. http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2018/08/06/report-aston-villa-plot-35m-bid-for-bristol-citys-joe-bryan/
It’s just business Wiz. Haggling the likes of which you will see in the Medina in Marrakesh. Everyone bigs up what they are selling whilst trying to knock down the price of who they are buying. I suspect they (Villa) will play the ‘£3.5m - or we’ll have him for free next season’ type card.

It is allegedly £6m according to Twitter journo's Good price considering the time he had left on his deal.
Can't see it being £6 Mill with a year left, probably nearer to £4 Mill. Very disappointed he wants to leave for another Championship club, a Premiership club I could understand.....
All reports are saying £6mill maybe its this high because of a bidding war between Villa and Boro. Good price for him. Hopefully as with Flint, we have a replacement in place already and this will be announced soon after this deal is done.
I hope I'm wrong and it is close to the £6M figure, I'm guessing there will be no add ons at this price though? If Joe fulfills his potential, his future value will be worth a LOT more than this, but I reckon we will miss out on that.

Would be happy with £6m tbh , presumably with a decent sell on , providing we get a good replacement as Kelly as back up.
Unfortunately we can’t match wages of top championship teams with parachute payments etc , Joe is one of our own , when it suits him , but obviously more interested in the bottom line , don’t suppose I blame him , it’s all about money these days , it’s not like he’d be on poor money if he stayed with us , but better he goes if his heart isn’t on it .
Bryan follows Flint to another Championship club. It's for more money and a real chance of the Premiership. That's the family silver gone. We can only hope when the LJ/Ashton signings leave they make more profit than the Engvall debacle.
None of the players sold for big bucks this window were bought by Lee , however there value has rocketed since his arrived, which is down to Lee and his coaching staff. You quote Engval as a failure which , for whatever reason , he was, but there will always be failures when you buy youngsters looking to increase their value.
So, is Bryan leaving because he's only interested in money, or because he's ambitious and wants to play at the highest level he can, or a bit of both? It's hard to keep up with all the reasons why people are making him out to be a c**t all of a sudden.
Right Agent Bryan, you will have seen the excellent job Agent Flint is doing at Middlesbrough. Your mission is to do the same wherever you end up - be ALMOST brilliant to avoid detection, but some howling misses, poor passes and some inexplicable disinterested performances at critical times please to help the cause of your mother club.... whilst depriving the opposition of £6m and boosting our funds by the same amount. If you can further weaken their finances and attract the attention of FFP by high wages then that helps us even more.
Although interestingly Tomarse on there (I think he runs or at least used to run the place) suggested that Bryan had handed in a transfer request in January. I'd heard rumours but didn't think it was fact.
Bit harsh , although as both apparent suitors are championship teams obviously motive is money , loyalty in football doesn’t exist often these days , I know their playing careers are limited but it’s not like they aren’t extremely well paid even if they decide to stay with us. It is what it is though. Seems like he wants to go , get as much as possible for him and move on.
