When we had a pre-season friendly against a Spanish team before our last "assault" on the Prem, Medel was in the crowd as our new big signing. Perhaps Colin has someone under wraps to display to us today?
Today showed city need a central midfielder and sorry for banging on about this but a right back. Hope NW can get in 2-3 new players in and find new homes for our surplus players. It’s going to be a manic week
Now this guy is really good.............. http://www.insidewalessport.co.uk/c...tas-and-spain-forward-alvaro-negredo-reports/
Saw him score a wonder goal for Valencia season before last in a game I streamed live but can't find it on vid anywhere. Fantastic awareness of where the goal is - turned an hit the ball with instinct - a true striker and someone who will defo score for us.. EDIT - just found the Turkish source about it - hope you can read Turkish..... https://www.haberturk.com/cardiff-ten-negredo-ya-3-milyon-euro-2090821-spor
Well at £12M less up front than Troy Deeney, we could afford a few more bob on wages. I read somewhere that Deeney was on a £100K a week package.
Having read the article I'm a bit concerned with this from NW. "We’re a bit thin with injuries but I’ve got one or two ideas to supplement the squad.”
As much as I’d like to see another striker, IMO a couple of new midfielders are more important. Grujic looks dead in the water. NW said he had a back up plan; well don’t leave it too late Neil. If he’s got to drop into the championship again then he could look at Ryan Woods of Brentford who’d be be an exciting signing.
All Greek to me. A very good player who knows where to find the back of the net. Didn't he score against us in our 3.2 win in our last Prem visit? Can't believe the price tag if they paid 27m euros for him only a year ago. My concerns would be his age and that he might consider us his final payday - like Blobby Fowlup. However, swings and roundabouts - low price tag v high wages.
Looks like Bogle now off to Birmingham on loan. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/omar-bogle-birmingham-loan-cardiff-14996477
