One day at a time mate, slip a beer or two one day then just make the next day better.. I have hit the beer a bit too much during the gaps of my radiotherapy, mainly because I didn't and would never contemplate losing my oil rig.. I have totally calmed it now over the last month, ***s gone as well.. Cigarettes and alcohol are bad for the soul mate.. One day at a time, best way to do it..

Mainly because you end up drinking more.

 

Booze is good for the soul in moderation.

Nothing is that bad for you as long as you don't abuse it. But if you do, no matter what it is, it will **** you up.

 

Agreed, hence why I don’t drink in the week. Keep it until the weekend where I don’t hold back.

Nah it's something I've been thinking about for a couple weeks and seemed a good time so we'll see how it goes.

 

My sons used to do that. No alcohol all week then skinfulls over the weekend. Then a doctor friend of mine told them it was the worst thing they could do and, after finding out how much they were drinking, told then they’d almost certainly have liver damage in a few years if they carried on.

Apparently, binge drinking is the worst for your internal organs,

Everyone has a time where they get ****ed up after a few sessions and gets doubting. Just be ****ing sensible with it. Learn from the mistakes and know your limits.

At Glastonbury last year I got so ****ed I couldn’t stand. I said I needed to quit, and I got myself together and was back on it the week after. That’s when I started the no drinking in the week.

Mate, I talk a good game but I’m hanging a lot haha.

I just couldn’t live life without beer. I love beer, the taste and the feeling.

I just try to keep away from being battered. I quit caffeine a number of years ago as I wanted to keep booze in my life.

 

Furthermore, we go to a game this year, you ain’t gonna sit there sober whilst I knock them back. Not a chance.
