While Leeds has been in my blood for the past forty years, its time I took a good hard luck at things and put them into perspective. For past eight years, ive watched little else other than our crown jewels being sold year after year, Milner, Lennon, Smith, Beckford, Gradel etc. Were then spun same old rubbish, out of contract, reinvest the money, improve the squad blah blah blah. Im old enough to see through this pile of ****e. Simple fact, and i hate to admit it, were going nowhere as things stand, whether its the fault of bates, harvey or grayson. So from now on, im going to try and take a couple of steps back, try not to get too wound up with crooked goings on behind the scenes and just focus on results. I fully expect us to not win more than 50% of our games so am prepared for as many bad days as good ones as a Leeds supporter. My days of trawling through various sites checking on potential transfers are definately over as I now know the odd time we sign quality is as much by accident than design

That's how i feel exactly, is that Irishacko from the original 606. If so, always agreed with your posts, we only disagreed on Smudger. Having said that, don't want him back now, just want this parasite out of my club!!

OK Eireleeds, glad to hear your comments, very similar to Irishako. So lets hope our valued Irish support can help save our club from this tyrant. Is it because we from Yorkshire are too close to it, maybe it's because Bates has all the propoganda channels covered. Yorkshire radio, what a load of sh***.

I'm Irishshako. Cheers for your nice comments Whitemafia, appreciated.
Got to agree with EireLeeds, as a 40yr supporter myself of this great club the last few years have really pissed me off. I'll never stop supporting the club, but it's getting more difficult to get excited at the moment.
I don't know if Bates is crooked or not or if Grayson is at fault, all I know is that something is not right.

Good to hear from you Irishshako, glad you are still making your views heard. I love the fact, but also find it strange, that our support from afar seems to be more informed and passionate, than some of the guys that trip up over Billys statue every day they step out of the house.

Controversy has always attached itself to Leeds United, from Tony Brown's '5 yards offside' goal for WBA in 1971 which cost us the title, to being forced to play a title deciding game at Wolves in 1972 3 days after winning the FA Cup which cost us the double,to the farcical disallowing of Lorimer's goal in the 1975 European Cup Final,to the self-indulgent ego trip Ridsdale years,to the -15 points deduction.
We should be used to it by now,& the furore caused by offloading an average footballer like Gradel is way OTT. Its all part of being a Leeds United fan, putting up with all the **** that comes our way.
One thing's for sure, its NEVER boring!

Thanks again Whitemafia. I will be voicing my opinion about Bates at the Palace game..lol
May see you around. The Drysalters is the usual pre-match place I drink in.

Give it 10 years, Bates will have either sold us or dropped dead. We might then have a board that cares and invests at least what we make. The thing is I am not asking for a billionaire to pump £20million into players. I just want to see the money we make on the gate, the merchandise and player sales invested back into the playing team so that when I watch Leeds play I can say okay we lost but that was a damn good performance or that I can celebrate a nice win with my mates.

Its all well and good saying give it 10 years but I'm 50 and I don't want to wait 10 years. I might not be in any shape to travel over to Leeds matches by then. I want rid asap, we've suffered enough

I agree, with our income etc we should be relatively self sufficient & be able to invest a modest £3m or £ £4m each year on player acquisitions ON TOP of any money brought in from outgoing transfers without getting into debt. We're not asking for a billionaire, just a reinvestment of money the fans have put into the club(premier league prices for 2nd tier football) & more clarity on where any transfer income goes such as the Delph money, compensation money etc.
We're not asking for anything too unreasonable, just reinvestment in the team & more transparency.
